Favorite Simpsons Parody

I loved the Face/Off parody because that's one of my favorite movies, but I think my favorite parody has been the Shary Bobbins one. I just love that episode, it's the first one that comes to mind for me.

When Bart steals Homer's change, and Homer chases him and turables down the stairs like the boulder etc. I forgot the episode name though.

I can't remeraber the name of the episode offhand, but it was the one where Bart and Skinner knew each other's allergy. The parody wasn't the entire ep -- it did have a scene that parodied the lightsaber duel from SW:Phantom Menace.

I try to use my powers for good instead of evil ;)

Oh my gosh, Burns goes through quite a routine with all the physical therapy and medication in that episode.

I guess that's true.

The X-files episode is another of my old favorites. I like Burns in that one too. And I like how you managed to segue the thread right back on topic. ;)

I just remerabered, I really liked their parody of the Mad Men opening credits.

But I can't believe I forgot about all the TOH parodies! I think a lot of those are my favorites, maybe because I love horror stories so much. My absolute favorite is probably the one where GrounRABkeeper Willie is hunting all the children in their sleep. Although so many books and films have used this plot I'm not sure what it's a parody of originally. Anyone know? I also love the monkey paw one and of course The Shining.

Being scared out of your mind should be a temporary thing though. It took me the longest time to get used to watching The X-Files. There are times when I can't watch it with the lights off.

That being said, I still like when David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson guest starred as their characters. Their dialogue was very dry and serious, yet it was hilarious when Mulder showed his picture ID.

My favourite parody was the "Psycho" parody, when maggie hit Homer on the head with a hammer, and "the shower scene" from "psycho" was parodied.

I liked this one in particular because at the time my English class were studying the film "Psycho", so I knew what it was on about.
