Favorite movie couple? DISCUSSION - tell us WHY they are your favorite?

my favorite movie couple has to be Rhett and Scarlett from Gone With The Wind. i've read the book twice and they just don't make movies like that anymore. plus i love Rhett saying to Scarlett "Frankly, my dear i don't give a damn". that's my favorite line in the whole movie.
 
- Rhett and Scarlett in Gone With the Wind. "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!' haha! Thats the best thing you can ever say to someone you love.
- I also like Princess Ann and Joe Bradley in Roman Holiday.
- Cutting Edge - the one with Moira Kelly and DB Sweeney
 
Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, because I just can see a lot of chemistry between them. The way he looks at her, how she smiles when she realizes he was wrong about him.. And when Darcy admits he loves her!
Every time I watch Pride and Prejudice is an absolute, pure delight! :blush:
 
My absolute favourit couple is Christian and Satine from Moulin Rouge. Their chemistry is unbelivable. You can see that they really love each other, and that they're ready to give up everything. That is real love
 
My favorite couple of the moment is Casper and Kat. They were just too adorable for words. "Can I keep you?" :sigh:
 
Never read the book Gone With The Wind, but hopefully I'll see the movie pretty soon...I've frankly heard enough to know exactly what happened. ;) :blush: so, I'm not a Rhett/Scarlett shipper-in my opinion, she was a meanie :hotpinkie: yeah, she wanted Ashley, but did it ever occur to her that he was married...with a child?

One of my fav movie couples are Erik/Christine from the 04 movie...even now I'm still thinking, 'If only...'
 
Did anyone say Satine and Christian? TALK ABOUT LOVE! Ooo baby... but that's my favorite movie. Even though it has a sad ending it still just...makes you belive in true love aaaaannnnnndddddd ( :) ) The Greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
 
You will never know how much I adore this couple! They are the ultimate soulmates in my book. He gave up his angelhood for her and then she...:: sob :: The greatest love story EVAH!



Hugh and Halle are hot. They need to make a 5th movie together where they just make out for two hours. Ok, I'm weird. I'd really love to see them do some kind of romantic drama/comedy together. That would be awesome!
 
This is one couple that never appealed to me, not even as a child. I think my dislike of them stems from the fact that Sandy basically changes herself to suit Danny at the end of the movie. I couldn't get past the conforming to get the guy. I wouldn't have liked it had the movie ended with Danny changing himself either.

I honestly don't have many favorite movie couples because most of my favorite movies don't really deal with that much romance...for some reason I'm more of a television shipper than a movie shipper.

I'll echo Rhett and Scarlett from Gone With the Wind because of the depth to their relationship. Watching Scarlett go after Ashley when she has someone who suits her far better and loves her in a way Ashley probably wouldn't be capable...it's kind of tragic but realistic at the same time, especially when she realizes what she had only when it was gone.
 
Rhett and Scarlett are my favorite couple of all time. I recently watched this movie again since I firmly believe in seeing GWTW at least twice a year. :nod: The movie just reminded me how perfect they are. The push and pull they deliver in the movie is exciting and far better than the lame love stories in today's movies that usually just revolve around sex. Rhett and Scarlett were one of a kind. I also enjoy how their characters progress through the movie. You see Scarlett transform from a young, flirtatious teenager to a strong, determined woman. You also see Rhett change from someone who acts like they don't care to someone who does actually care because everything he did was for Scarlett because he loved her. :love: Now that's a couple that makes history!

P.S. I also adore Jean and Wolverine in X-Men. The forbidden aspect of them is just so alluring. They are H-O-T.
