I guess I need to see the new P&P! Pretty much on every thread someone is talking about how great it is

Kevin Smith has written really nice couples. I loved Dante and Becky from Clerks II. They were surprisingly funny and very sweet. :sigh: Loved them.

:D Indeed!

I'm all for Rogue/Logan myself. Yes, I'm one those crazy shippers. (according to one of the commentaries) What can I say?

Oooh! You have your own Landon! That's pretty special!;) I hope you're fine now.

1.Harry/Sally (When Harry Met Sally) - one of my fave movies, Meg and Billy had great chemistry imo.

2. Noah/Allie (The Notebook) - that is a great example of love that lasted a lifetime *sigh*

3. Forest/Jenny (Forrest Gump) - great movie, great actors , great love

4. Edward/Vivian (Pretty Woman) - could watch their romance play out over and over - love Richard and Julia's chemistry

5. Landon/Jamie (A Walk To Remember) - I can relate to Mandy's character somewhat - my partner stayed by my side when I got sick just like Landon and to do what he did requires courage and an honest unselfish love that you don't find too often, and the movie just made me cry buckets of tears

that's all I can think of for now......

Let's see favorite couples...

Jack/Rose(Titanic) - The love they shared
Christine/Phantom(Erik) -Phantom of the Opera - I don't really have a reason
Allie/Noah(The Notebook) - because they were sooo in love with each other
Scarlett/Rhett(Gone With The Wind) - no reason
and recently after seeing Pride and Prejudice
Elizabeth Bennett/Mr. Darcy - because actully again no reason

Joel & Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

They erased each other from their memories and still ended up finding one another again. They found out they hated each other and still wanted to try and make it work again. It's just so sad, and real.

Jesse & Celine from Before Sunrise/Before Sunset.

I really like that they're not too schmoopy.. I'm not really a fan of overly romantic pairings. Just seeing them walking around and getting to know one another was enough.. you could just see that they connected. And the fake phone convo in Before Sunrise was beyond adorable.

I couldn't pick just one!
1. Noah & Allie (The Notebook) - we all knew they were destined for each other
2. Casper & Kat (Casper) - too cute beyond words, especially the dance scene
3. Jo & Laurie (Little Women) - I thought Christian (Laurie) had more passion with Winona (Jo) than the girl who played Amy, and Jo and Laurie just seemed meant for each other
4. Jack & Lizzie (Pirates of the Caribbean) - believe it or not I really thought the third movie would have Sparrabeth. I was disappointed! Their kiss was HOT
5. Jean/Logan (X Men) - they moved me almost to tears in the X3 finale, and I was always rooting for her to choose him

oh, and Pyro/Rogue (X Men) was the couple that never happened that I wanted to happen desperately ;)

Lizzie and Mr. Darcy from Pride And Prejudice 2005! The chemistry was just brimming. I'll never forget the scene while raining :sigh: And of course, the dialogues were very romantic.

My all time fave movie couple would have to be Jack and Rose for Titantic. They really sacrfice everything in order to just love each other. Jack helped rose to become all that she could be and taught her about life and rose was her own person thanks to jack and i think a love like their is so rare to find which makes them special.

Johnny and June from Walk the Line
Baby and Johnny
Allie and Noah
Christine and Raoul from Phantom of the Opera
Christine and The Phantom
Pocahontas and John Smith from Pocahontas The Legend and from The New World
Jerry Lee Lewis and Myra from Great Balls of Fire
Padme and Ankain
Danny and Sandy
Stephanie and Michael from Grease 2
Humbert and Lolita from the movie Lolita with Jeremy Irons
Jack and Linda Morrison from Ladder 49
David McCall and Nicole Walker from Fear
Jake and Melanie Perry from SHA
Daphne and Ian from What a Girl Wants
Henry Dashwood and Libby from What a Girl Wants
Joe and Jess from Bend it like Beckham
Reese and Ryan
Dennis Cromwell an Angel from Angel Blue aka My Neighbor's Daughter
Pete Nash and Amy Dustin from For My Daughter's Honor

Holden and Alyssa from Chasing Amy. Sure they did not end up together, but they still have a lot of love and respect for one other. Holden was able to write a comic based on their relationship. Holden was also a better person after having Alyssa in his life and vice versa. No matter what the future brings for them, Holden and Alyssa will always love each other. That's why my favorite movie couple is Holden and Alyssa.

That "I Love You" speech was beautifully acted and beautifully written. Way to go, Ben and Joey!

Kevin Smith wrote and directed a beautiful love story. In my opinion, it is one of his best movies.

mine probably has to be Johnny and June from Walk the Line...probably cause the movie was based on true events and Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon nailed it.

This is difficult...there are quite a few! i watch a lot of movies..

Jack/Rose - So beautiful, so tragic, i could watch Titanic over and over..so amazing!

Noah/Allie- They had really great chemistry together.

Tristan/Isolde- Wow..this romance was so much more believable then say Romeo/Juliet. this story inspired many love stories after its time. Just saw the film and it's beautiful.

Jamie/Landon- True soulmates, he changed for her, and stayed with her at the end..*sigh*

Jon/Sara - Fate/Destiny..i don't think i need to say more (Serendipity)

These are just the top ones..i can think of many more!

Jim carrey and Jennifer aniston ....eversince i have seen them together in bruce almighty..they have become my fav couple...i have never seen any actor and actress bonding so well with each other...i feel they make a great pair.

Okay, just so we're clear, saying things like, "My favorite is so-and-so from such-and-such a movie," is not actually a discussion. Saying you agree with the person isn't a discussion, either.

We need to see much more conversation about WHY they're your favorites or we're going to have to close the thread because it encourages star posting. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them here. Thanks!

Seth and Maggie from "City of Angels". He gave up on eternity to be with her. It's my all-time favourite couple.

Jesse and Celine from "Before Sunrise". I loved how they fell in love in one night. It was amazing and so romantic.

Jonathan and Sara from "Serendipity". Well, I love those stories with fate involved, can't help it! :)

first

John Bender/Claire Standish - the breakfast club
and I also always had a thing for
