Favorite hard-rock/metal covers!

SounRAB cool, maybe I'll D.L. it now.No matter what though, I'm pretty sure I'll prefer the original because most of the time the original is the best, but who knows?I'm D.L.ing it specifically for that reason. If I remeraber, I'll come back and tell yall what I thought, cheers!

Obviously I'll respect your opinion, but I'm sure it's most likely influenced on which band you prefer.Hey, sometimes covers are better, but only to some, not to all.

Simply add any other covers, as in "songs that weren't originally wrote by the band mentioned", and describe why you like them either the same as the original or more/better than the original. Also comment on if you dislike any of the covers that either I or someone else puts on their list.

I'll put a list of some of my favorites here that I recall are covers.I'm almost 100% positive that all of these songs actually are covers, but if either I or someone else has put down a song that is an original instead of a cover discuss that as well.Have fun!

9. "Riders On The Storm" - Snoop Dogg.
Woah really? lol I'll have to check that one out.

Have you seen them play it live? Too funny for worRAB.

I enjoyed Metallica's cover of "Die, Die My Darling" by the Misfits. I'll probably get bashed for this but I enjoyed the cover that Atreyu did of Bon Jovi's "You give love a bad name". (I think thats the title.) Haste the Day's cover of "Long Way Down" (originally by the Goo Goo Dolls) was good too.

Judas Priest - Paint It Black
WASP - Somebody To Love(Jefferson Airplane version)
Zodiac Mindwarp And The Love Reaction - Born To Be Wild
Metallica - Astronomy
AC/DC - Baby Please Don't Go
Gary Moore - Friday On My Mind
Gary Moore - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

Do they cover the Judas Priest "Painkiller" or is it some other artists "Painkiller" you're talking about? Also, do they get Halford to sing on it or is it simply Death with no "guests"?

New here, sorry to pull up an old thread, its just the one that convinced me to stop lurking.

That's great, we got another opinion in a forum!Man, am I ever so shocked...lol!

And how could you diss a Door's cover, kiddo?:usehead:

Got anything to add to this post?Possibly one of your "great" ideas of a cover, new chump?

It's Death covering Judas Priest's Painkiller with Death's Chuck Schuldiner on vocals.

Oh god I love that cover - it's possibly my favourite ever and I like it more than the original. I just love Chuck's insane screams - and also the fact that Death added an extra guitar solo.
