Favorite Girl Singers/Bands

I Love the song "SEETHER" by VERUCA SALT, All u Youngens' might not remeraber them ;-) BELLY, The Cardigans, Dido, and No Doubt

ahhh, yeah yeah yeah's are so annoying I find. Anyways, Alanis is cool. I think Arch Enemy's female vocals is the best though. I didnt know at first that the band had a female singer and I found out later on and I was stunned because she growls like a guy would. I couldnt believe it. Check it out sometime. Get their music and get the pics of the band, its impressive to see how that girl growls!!!

Tarja Turunen (Nightwish) and Amy Lee (Evanescence).

Though Tarja was recently fired from the band. I hope the new vocalist is good, the band has created quite a legacy, I would like to see them continue the good work.

LOL, Sorry, I worded that wrong. What met I was they did not have to be pop singers to be in the music world and that I wanted to see more Women in in rock and metal and I was not talking about little kiRAB.

I agree that the majority of girls cannot sing maybe as well as the majority of guys, and I also agree that there are girls that can sing well. I think it's plain ignorance if someone doesn't agree with that. They sing in a different tone and with a different style, but doesn't mean that they cannot sing!

I love Bjorks voice, thats all that matters to me, i don't care if she isn't a very capable singer.... I think her vocal skills are decent, she's no freakin Mariah Carey (which i consider a good thing) and no one said she was... I'd still say her vocals on Vespertine are flawless.

Oddly enough, don't you see the irony in some of the choices you made?... You slagg off Bjork for her singing but you like No Doubt and Hole?

I do find her attractive as well, she has a unique look to her, which i like, i don't really go for the super popular blonde skinny whore look.

Courtney Love - She can't sing, but then again, neither can most male singers. Who cares, really? Her voice is perfect for rock.

Stevie Nicks - Because she wrote "LanRABlide"

Also, I think Sleater-Kinney should go down as the best all girl band. All three of those women are amazing musicians and songwriters.

I would also like to say that anyone who thinks women have no place in rock should stop listening to rock music altogether because who do you think the best songs are written about? Why is it that a woman can be the subject of a song, but she can't sing it? Is it because you rocker dudes are uncomfortable singing along to a song and saying the word "him" instead of "her"?

Anyway, my vote for best female rock voice ever goes to Janis Joplin. Listen to "Summertime" and tell me you don't feel it tugging at you soul.
