Favorite fourth wall breaking moments

I never really cared for the 4th wall getting broken on the original TMNT cartoon. It just seemed kinda stupid. I'm glad that they basically stopped doing it for the final 24 "red sky" episodes.
 
I love those moments when a character watches a cartoon that is exactly like the show they're on and then the character asks "Who would watch that?" and then gives a look at the viewers.

The whole episode basically was breaking the forth wall and thats why nickelodeon never aired it. Norbert was trying to convince Daggett that they were cartoon characters.
 
The first episode in season 3 of ReBoot, where Dot, Enzo and Frisket are playing an "Evil Dead"-type of game with ghosts and zombies and the like. Dot wonders aloud what kind of sick person would play that sort of game, and then she and Enzo both turn and glare at the camera.

Also, the entirety of the "guy in the third row" gag from "Case of the Stuttering Pig", especially the ending when the guy in the third row comes to the rescue of Porky and his family.

The field trip episode of Ed, Edd n' Eddy has Ed literally crashing into and shattering the fourth wall, revealing static behind it.
 
I kind of like some of the "breaking the fourth wall teasers" on The Simpsons, where it looks like the fourth wall is being broken.

Such as the end of "Who Shot Mr. Burns Part 1", when Dr. Hibbert says "I can't solve this mystery. Can YOU!" He appears to be staring and pointing at the audience, but then the camera pans back, revealing that he was talking to Chief Wiggum.

Or in another episode. I forget the title of it. But the Simpsons have to get soem family counciling, and they go to the woods. They end up working together to save each other. Later, when talking about what just happened, Lisa says, "Could this be the end of our series?" Everybody looks at Lisa, and then she adds, "Of misadventures?"

And it's funny in "Homer Loves Flanders" when Lisa tells Bart that Homer will go back to hating Flanders soon and they can go back to their wacky adventures. But then at the end, when Homer still hadn't gone back to hating Flanders, Lisa comments that this could be the end of their wacky adventures. But then we get a preview for a ficticious next episode, featuring a brief scene of Homer telling Flanders to get lost, to which Bart and Lisa smile.

And the ending in the Family Guy episode "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" was funny. "Mr. Griffin, you'll be in jail for seven days. You'll be out next sunday at 9."

I also like the line at the end of the Darkwing Duck episode "Comic Book Capers".

And there's a scene in the Muppet Babies episode "Good Clean Fun", where Gonzo cleans the TV. We see Gonzo cleaning from the TV's point of view, and after cleaning, Gonzo says "There's still a spot! Maybe it's on your side."
 
I forget the episode name, but this moment stands out for me:

(Runt has found a litter of kittens.)
Runt: "Rita, look! Puppies!"
Rita: "They're not puppies, Runt."
Runt: "Well, what else could I have?"
Rita: (to the audience) "My head hurts."
 
Actually, the reason Nickelodeon didn't let the episode get past the recording phase was because Daggett and Norb found out that their time was up and that they were about to go into reruns forever. Nickelodeon (at least, at the time) didn't want children to know that a show had been canceled, so they barred its further production.

And then there was the whole thing about how it did feel like the writers were bashing the network, which I have a feeling Nickelodeon didn't appreciate either.
 
Garfield and Friends used to break the fourth wall alot....My favorite of these was when Garfield was in a plane that was about to crash,and addresses the audience...."Quick,kids!...Check the TV listings....Make sure this isn't the final episode!!!"

Family Guy does it alot as well...my favorite being from the episode "Partial Terms of Endearment"....After Lois says she's getting an abortion,Peter says he'll blow up the clinic,she says he wouldn't...His reply?...

"You know I would! You've seen Family Guy!"

Bleach also had a funny one in one of the Bount Arc episodes....At one point,Chad and Nova (both of whom are quiet and stoic) are in a room together,just sitting there....After a couple minutes of this,Kon comes along and tells them to do something,otherwise people will think their TVs are broken...
 
I always loved their fourth-wall gags. Like in the episode "Mistakes Will Happen", which is full of deliberate animation errors and such, Garfield asks the audience to find the mistake, and he says it's a thing that nobody noticed.
 
I'm a little surprised that nobody has yet mentioned The Emperor's New Groove, which tore down the fourth wall with all the ferocity of a Looney Tunes cartoon. My personal favorite instance is the scene where Kuzco actually stops the film and reminds the audience that the story is supposed to be about him, not Pacha.
 
Another great wall-breaking moment was in one episode of Family Guy that I can't remember the title of. One scene shows that Peter likes it when characters in movies say the name of the movie's title, and later, Peter and Brian get pulled over by cops. When the cops find Brian's weed, one cop says "I don't support drugs. I'm a family guy!", to which Peter reacts with joy.
 
The first thing I thought of was the infamous ending of the 13th DBZ movie. Piccolo and Vegeta are sitting on a rock in the middle of a lake facing away from each other...

PIccolo: Is it (the movie) over?

Vegeta: Not 'tll the fish jumps!

(Fish jumps out of the water)

Vegeta: It's over

This was from the English dubbed version. This particular scene had no dialogue in the original Japanese version, but still counts right? :D
