Favorite Family Guy Songs

Well, in two days Family Guy begins it's 8th season. And there no doubt will be plenty of new musical numbers. Will we get anything as cool as last season's "A Bag of Weed"?

To celebrate the new season let's discuss our favorite Family Guy songs.

Note: if you're only coming in here to say something negative, think twice and don't post at all.

At this point, with all the songs they've done, I've begun to forget some of them. But "This House Is Friggin' Sweet!" is still my favorite, followed closely by "Road to Rhode Island." :)

Either "This House Is Freakin' Sweet!!!"....or "Road to Rhode Island"...both are extremely funny, plus I love the music for both of them....

I also like the one from the "Live From Las Vegas" album that has Stewie and Brian singing the theme songs from various '80's TV shows (Different Strokes,Growing Pains,Who's the Boss,Charles in Charge,The Golden Girls,Perfect Strangers and Family Ties)...

I'm not too fond of Family Guy anymore, but I like to check it out every now and then. My favorite songs are "The Freakin' FCC" and "Everything's Better With a Bag of Weed."

I guess I'll follow some of the lemmings and say that "This House Is Freakin' Sweet!" is my favorite, as well as "The List" number from Lois Kills Stewie.

Personally, I do like the FCC song, it was catchy the first time I watched it, and it still is. Bag of Weed comes in second. Though I do need to get around to seeing "The List," I need to buy the boxset it comes in.

Awfully Diff'rent- It was fun to hear Stewie and Brian sing about there diffrences and how they would never be friends...and they ended up being best friends in the revival.

I sort of found that to be some pretty cool irony.

Even though I dislike the Shipoopi GAG (which takes up two minutes of time just to celebrate a touchdown!), I find the song incredibly catchy and listen to it outside of the show itself. Loses a couple points for not being an original creation, but the arrangement of it was great.

In terms of commercial parodies, "Double Fresh Gum" always remains enjoyable. It seriously sounds like something you'd hear on a TV ad.

All the songs from the various Brian/Stewie road show episodes are fun. Though I think I'm the only one who prefers "You And I Are So Awfully Different" to "Road to Rhode Island".

"FCC" is classic too, with some funny lyrics ("Cause ya can't say 'penis'"), though again, it borrows the main melody from "Volunteer Fireman Picnic".

"I Have James Woods" is another fave. The various visuals to go along with it work, too.

It's not a huge favorite of mine, but I do like how "I'm Gonna Make You Famous" cuts into the end of Peter's song and comes back to it after the commercial break, making it look like he held that last note for two minutes. :p

I could listen to Quagmire's "Make 'Em Laugh" over and over. Needed to be longer (something I don't often say for this show!).

"My Drunken Irish Dad" is a fun Irish drinking melody. Does that happen to be parodying any song, or is it an original creation?

"Oz" parody: "Scrub scrub here, scrub scrub there, whether you're white or bronze, a man can wash another man, in the merry old land of Oz!"

Finally, "You Have AIDS" and "Vasectomy" are amusing songs out of unlikely song subjects. I especially like the part in the Vasectomy song where the barbershop quartet goes off on a tangent about sexism and the woman's breasts running the sensitivity training seminar. :D

When Brian sings "You've Got Alot to See" to give the old lady he's fallen in love with, Pearl, a recap of the past 50 years. Favorite lyric from that song was:

"Let's go see the USA. They'll teat you right unless you're black or gay or Cherokeeeeeeee!"

Hilarious.

Man oh man I loved that song A Bag of Weed, the way it was done and every thing was just great. I also really like that one Road to Road Island about Brian and Stewie being so different.
