Hm, whiskey in the jar is an old traditional irish song which has been recorded by many different artists, similar to f.ex Scarborough Fair or The Wild Rover.

The Dubliners are credited for first popularizing it with a recorded version. :)

Haha yea, Thin Lizzy has a good version of it, I like the Metallica version best because I love their vocals.

When I heard it by The Dubliners I was really surprised how much music can be molded and changed.

What is everyone's favorite riRAB or riRAB that they just think are the best?

-Excluding vocals, drums, bass, etc. and just focus on the riff. And it can be any type of genre, not just metal.
 
Dunno bout favourite will have to think about it, Sooo many... but a couple I've always loved are that Bit that comes after chorus in Primal Concrete Sledge. Intro to Crazy Train. Everything Jack White plays on Jolene. Gimmie shelter.
 
Hurable Pie`s debut is a great album with its sweaty sounding boogie blues rock and an essential late 60`s early 70`s release. This album along with their live album, are two must have albums from Hurable Pie.
 
hey now, there's nothing stopping for Kyuss being LIKE Soundgarden in their ability to make every 3rd riff into gold (although in Kyuss' case i would have said every other as opposed to every 3 heheh)

how's that for a fix? :p:
 
first one that springs to mind for me is acdc - beating around the bush. that's definitely one of my favs, there will be loaRAB more but I'm still half asleep so brain hardly workin
