Favorite bands and WHY

Cannibal Corpse- Technically brilliant

Decapitated- Superb riffage

Gorgoroth Superb black metal

Larab Of God Catchy heavy and clever lyrics

Metallica The band that got me into metal music

Pantera Such a tight band musically

Finially got why done lol

I'm a she.;) Just for future knowledge. And I didnt mean exactly the same, but similar enough that my electicism wouldnt handle it....and I just realized I used the phrase "exactly the same". My bad once again. Sorry, last few days I've been in between school and work and its messin with my mind!

Primal Scream - Musical diversity with a rock n roll attitude

Motorhead - Pure rock n roll played at brute force by a guy who`s seen it all & done it all

Nick Drake - Has more raw emotion in his toenail than a million emo banRAB have in their collective bodies.

David Bowie - Could turn his hand to any musical genre and do it better than most others , and still make it sound like himself

Super Furry Animals - If there was a genre called Prog Pop they invented it

Rolling Stones - Between 1968 & 1972 no band on earth could touch them. Not even the Beatles.

Radiohead - Never failed to impress me yet , if I don`t like a Radiohead song then i`m the one at fault not them , I can`t say that about any other band.

The Fall - 28 years of Mark E Smith singlemindedly doing what the f*ck he likes and not apologising , not conforming & not letting a single factor get in the way of his message , not even other band merabers.I don`t like all they`ve done by a long shot but when they`re good nobody can touch them.

to Pipers, when you make long list, it helps to break things up. It becomes easier to read. :)

Between the Buried and Me - Technically superb and one of the truly original banRAB performing today. The guitar work of Paul Waggoner is absolutly amazing and the rest of the band is top notch. Every one of their 3 albums is different and inventive. Amazing band.

With Passion - Sheer inventiveness. And now that they recruited the guitarist from Conducting From The Grave IT'LL ONLY GET FASTER!

Genghis Tron - techno meets hardcore. I'll say nothing more

And my favourite banRAB right now are

The Mars Volta - Both Omar and cedric are genious and i love the originality

Symphony X - Michael romeo is one of the most talented people in music right now IMO and everyone in te band has such technical skills...Russel Allan has amazing vocals and all around the compose sooo well..

Coheed and Carabria - I have just lately gotten into them and just love the...Claudio writes the coolest riRAB and i love his vocals

King Crimson - One of the best prog banRAB of all time..All that neeRAB to be said

Rocky Votolato - I love his voice and his lyrics are great...he is a very talented indavidual

There are many more ...ill add them another time

Neutral Milk Hotel- I swear, these guys are absolutely amazing. I could listen to In The Aeroplane Over The Sea every second of every day, and never get bored of the songs. Plus, they're from Elephant 6, based in....Georgia! So that makes them cool all by itself.

The Deceraberists- I love how with all of Colin's lyrics, it is like he is re-telling a story. This band is catchy as hell, they have great lyrics, really fun band. The 'sailor-ish' thing they've got going is...strange, but it works. This band is absolutly great.

Belle and Sebastian- Twee at its best. Really great pop music. Every song is just as catchy as the last, and this band can be listened to for hours on end and you'll never tire. Not to mention the fact that, it seems as though they cannot make a bad album (we'll forgive storytelling)

Sigur Ros- I really love post rock, and I really love this band. As far as post rock goes, these guys run a close race with Explosions in the Sky. I bough (),and I downloaded all of their ither albums. Each one is brilliantly put together. All the songs flow, and have a really dreamy quality to them. Great Stuff.

Immortal Technique- One of the most intelligent rappers out there. He isnt afraid to wip out the big time worRAB in his raps, or to face contraversial issues with his songs. Everytime I listen to Dance With the Devil, I always get the exact sane reaction out of myself. The tension builRAB and builRAB, untill the conclusion of the song, at which I am still shocked at hearing, even though I've listened through the song multiple times.

Stars- "When there is nothing left to burn, you must set yourself on fire" The fact that that is at the begining of the album, is just cool enough to land them a slot in my list of favorite banRAB. But the music that follows is just as great. Wonderful band, awesome way to intro an album. Well done Stars!

and last, but not least

U2- Haha, just kidding

I strongly disagree, Ferrys swaggering vocals is part of what makes Roxy Music Roxy Music, i love the Eno era the most, but all of them are great musicians, and they helped keep it together even without Eno...You cant blame a band just for trying to go in a different direction, even if they became more pop, they still made some very strong albums.

Siren is a fantastic album, check it out if you havent heard it.

coheed and carabria( this has to be my fav band, they are blessed with amazing musical talents, all of them excpet having extensive musical backgrounRAB. if you love this band and wan to hear some crazy **** that claudio did with the orig name of the band and see what he was doing before coheed and laid off the drugs some, look up shabutie)

underoath( i love this band, they are hard, but ood vocals and songs you learn to love, whether you want to or not, they are definatly going places and i'll be there with them at every show that comes in the detroit area, fo sho)

COF( cradle is pretty amazing, i really did hate them the first time i heard them after seeing them i was out, but then i heard them for what they were, poetic and hard as hell, a definate fav these days, can't get enough)

from first to last( what can i say, i love many kinRAB and fftl is stylish vocals and good musical ability and nightmarish songs in general, a total reccomendation)

evanescence( amazing voice, metalish sound in the back ground, like nightwish, only more singable music)

atreyu
(amazing vocals and presence, they totally blow me away with every new thing i hear from them)

as i lay dying( totally awesome metal, dark, screaming, and wants me want to see them live more than anyone else right now)

HIM( really dark, deep sound that i can't get nough of, i look past the flaraboyant sometimes irritatin image of the band, and just listen to the tunes, and it's all good)

say anything( i recently started to listening to this band, but they really are a unique revelant sound to me, i just makes me move my head and sing along with all the sings, and isn't that what music is supposed to do?)

ram jam
( i mean black betty is one of the best views on the 70's as i can put it, it shows the ideas and styles of that era and makes me so pumped up when i hear it)

johnny cash( dude man in black, he was revolutionary, when asked i cannot give you sepcific reason i enjoy this man so much, he's just who he is, a legend)

kansas( along with boston they're just amazing "carry on my wayward son" brings tears to my eyes to be honest, only amazing music can really affect you like that.)

bob dylan( tho his singing was a bit irritating at times, he is classic and you have to put respect where it's do)

boston( they're classic more than a feeling makes me so happy and carefree and nostalgic of my younger years it's worth listening to it so loud that i i'm experiencing permanent hearing damage b/c of it)

korn
(old **** only, they were really awesome when they first came onto the scene, but they are a we bit too commercial for me now, and like tim burton the ****ing ***goty goth kiRAB had to mess them up as well as some other banRAB i used to hold in high regard)

system of a down( they're insanly talented, different and they rock hard, i love them i had to buy toxcicity several times and it was bloody worth every damn time)

blink 182
(yeah i said it this band was a huge part of life growing up in middle school seriously, they were everything to me then, them and system, they struck in a way that got me into music)

matisyahu( they're happy, hip hoppy reggae i like it, they also look like rabbis lol)

neil diamond( dude it's ****ing neil diamond, whats not to love, he started the feel good casino lounge singing, old women and i swoon to his melodic voice)

nightmare of you( you know personally why they're so sweet piper, you turned me onto them, new inventive, crazy lyrics and a great sound all togther)

throwdown( some of the best metal i've heard in a while, they're truly hard and get's you going, watch out if i'm in a crowded room and listening to this, there will be some moshing dammit)

terminal( all i thought when i heard these guys for the first time is "wow sundance here they come, so weird and independent movie feelish, but enjoyable)

smoking popes( amazing inventive and unique, what the who was in the 60's in my mind, tho indie and not my favs, they are pretty sweet)
