The same genre's I like anywhere else. X) Action, adventure, sci-fi/fantasy and comedy. The fact that it's animated is just icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned.

I used to think anime did science fiction way better than fantasy, but with quality shows like Princess Tutu, Twelve Kingdoms and Petite Princess Yucie in recent years, I'm starting to think the sci-fi tide may be stemmed a bit.

I voted for the action/adventure and magical girl genres, since I enjoy shows from those genres.
If I only had to pick one genre, I would have to go with action/adventure, since the majority of the anime series that I like would fall under that genre.

Why isn't ''All Genes'' an option? Because that would be my choice.
Well you could select multiple ones if you want.
Simply select every one then (except for the "no anime" one).
Though I suppose a "no preference" option could have been on there, still, I fail to see the point of selecting "no anime" or "all anime" or "no preference."
I mean, the point of the poll is to see which genre is generally the most popular.
Of course it's all a matter of execution and not genre that makes a good anime. That goes without saying.
I mean, "it doesn't matter what genre as long as it's good." Well, yeah. Duh.
If everyone simply selected "doesn't matter, as long as it's good" or "I don't like anime," we would have no poll.
Therefore, those options should be stricken from the genre poll.
A poll isn't meant to be 100% accurate, it's meant to give us a general idea of trenRAB.
So I say that the poll should force people to make a decision, so we can see which, in a nutshell, is the more popular genre.
Just my opinion though. I'm certainly not running any polls (nor do I have any desire to).
