Favorite Animated Halloween Specials

Since we are getting really close to Halloween, what are your favorite animated Halloween specials weather they be movies, episodes of shows, or shorts?

Every Halloween, I love to watch Scary Tales, a collection of classic Halloween Disney shorts. It has Skeleton Dance, Haunted House, Pluto's Judgement Day, Donald's Lucky Day, Donald & The Gorilla, and Duck Pimples. It is unfortunately missing Lonesome Ghosts and Trick or Treat, but I don't mind. I always like to watch any old Scooby episodes as well even if they don't directly relate to Halloween. I watch them anyway, but particularly at this time.

The Peanuts is a classic example.

I usually enjoy Treehouse of Horror episodes on the Simpsons. Very entertaining most of the time. :)

I am a huge fan of It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Garfield's Halloween Adventure myself, those two are timeless classics in my book! There are a few more others but these two stand out to me as being the top of the tops when it comes to Halloween animated specials.

For animation, there are several things I enjoy watching as Halloween approaches, usually the week of.

First and foremost . . .

I just love it, and nothing beats it, IMO. I mean, I love It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, but Garfield's Halloween Adventure has just always been the most special to me because I was a kid (just 6!) when it first premiered and I grew up with it. My brother and I watch it every year like clockwork. I kick off the week of Halloween with those two every year.

I follow up with Disney's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (by way of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad) and the Mickey Mouse short Lonesome Ghosts, nicely provided as an extra on TAoIaMT. Then I go for "The Halloween Door" and the great Samhain episodes of The Real Ghostbusters. And for the heck of it, I'll usually watch the Scarecrow episodes of Batman: The Animated Series, and "The Phantom Brigade" and "The Funhouse" episodes of G.I. Joe for their creepiness factor.

If only I still had a copy of this other childhood favorite to add to the line-up:

My favorite would have to be the angry beavers halloween special "The day the Earth stood stupid". It was really funny and kinda random, and as a fan of Bobobo, I love random humor!:D

The Peanuts and Garfield ones are my favorites, naturally.

My least favorite is the "Bugs Bunny Howl-o-ween" that just aired a few hours back on CN. Just several shorts mashed together in an incredibly lazy attempt at coherence.

I was wondering what that was. It just ended here. When I first turned it over I thought it was just a block of shorts but it kept going, so I figured it was some kind of special. I'd never seen it before.

I like the Hey Arnolds Halloween special. That one is so funny. Yah I also like the Angry Beavers one. Another one I like is the Jimmy Neutron Halloween special, seeing every one turn into monsters and fighting was cool.

Hmmm...actually, there aren't a whole lot. There aren't as many good Halloween specials as there are Christmas ones. But...

The CatDog special where Dog was bitten by those vampire ticks...I mentioned this on another thread...

Ditto with the Invader Zim special.

Uh...does The Nightmare Before Christmas count? That's all I got.
