Favorite Animated Gangster, and Why?

I have, for a very long time, been interested in the mob genre. I don't know what the allure is, but it has always interested me, and I always found characters like Michael Corleone and Tony Soprano to be very compelling.

I may be a "Gargoyles" fanboy, but Tony Dracon is not getting my vote. No, my vote here was very easy, Vicious from "Cowboy Bebop".

The guy is cold. He's so cold, he makes Michael Corleone look like Aruba. He's intelligent, he's got a sense of style, and yet he's not very charismatic. But, when he does speak, you listen. He also rates very high on the creep factor. He was the only person who was able to scare Faye Valentine, and that was within three seconds of meeting him.

There is just something so mysterious about him, we never got all the answers, and he didn't show up in the series all that often, but when he did it was important, and death followed him.

He also killed the protagonist in the end, how many others can boast to that? Well, technically, he can't since he didn't survive the battle either.

Plus, that bird of his is just damn cool.

Were the OVA where he appeared in not so emminently forgettable, the choice would be easy: Geese Howard, from the Fatal Fury/Garou Densetsu and King of Fighters fighting game series. Why? Because he's Geese Howard, dammit! He makes the name "Geese" sound cool! However, since like I said, the OVA which he appeared in is emminently forgettable, I have to discualify him, in favor TMNT mainstay Hun. There are several reasons, including a cool design and the fact that he highjacked a plane using hovering skateboards, but the best reason by far can be seen in the episode Hun on the Run, in which he takes on a helicopter, drives the coolest-looking car in the world, stops a moving train using a metal bar, and shoots the hell out of a military base using a gatling gun. More reasoning should not be necessary.

Harry Mcdowel, a.k.a Bloody Harry from gungrave (basicaly a mobster anime with some sci-fi), He also like Vicious in Bebop kills the protagonist (Brandon Heat) also dying at the end.

Rupert Thorne, HANDS DOWN.

Seriously, watch "Paging the Crime Doctor." That puts everyone else on this poll to shame.

I would vote for Mr. 0 Sir Crocodile since I always thought of him as a mobster of somesorts. Since I always thought mobster, while powerful as they are, do things under the radar, if you will.

His IQ is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. As he still held his rank among the "Seven Warlords of the Seas" while being the leader of Baroque Works by pretending to be the hero of Alabasta, and figured out what the white strap on the Strawhat were for without any information to name a few.

Tried to take over Alabasta, by causing a rebellion just to find the ultimate weapon known in the world of "One Piece" so he can increase his army, and I betcha he would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for the Straw Hats.

Also his outfit seems to portray the average Mafia boss. From the jewlery, the cigar, his clothing. Also make him angry and you're dead.

My favorite gangsters:

Fat Cat(Rescue Rangers) - He was one cat gangster villain who's very evil/manipulative who's got idiot goons to do the work for him for some of his plans which he's Jim Cummings' best villain ever:D.

Rocky & Muggsy(Looney Tunes) - They were the funniest gangster villains ever in the world of Bugs Bunny when Rocky always beating up his dumb henchman Muggsy and when they hide in the stove twice which was hilarious:p.

Trader Moe(Talespin) - He was an funny alligator gangster villain only to have two dumb goons, a rhino & a gorilla to mess up his day before getting Baloo.

Bugsy Vile
(DogCity) - I totally missed the show which he's one of my favorite funny cartoon gangster villains ever which his dumb dog henchmen are funny and has a hot catgirl Kitty in his group as well.

The CrimeLord(Ghostbusters) - An interesting gangster villain in the episode when the Ghostbusters become Crimebusters to bust criminals instead of ghosts.

Pinkster Pig(Loonatics:Unleashed) - Porky Pig's evil ancestor who's a pretty cool gangster villain to be with Rocky & Muggsy's ancestors to bash on Danger Duck at the end with Danger knowing that's there's good in him and how Ace Bunny made his whole plan backfire which was awesome.

Loogie(South Park) - He was an interesting kid mobster boss villain from the Tooth Trade episode which was funny in their story on how they go tooth trading & when the dentist finds out about his secret, then he returned in the episode when the boys first get Tweek as the new Kenny.

Giovanni(Pokemon) - He was a cool hardcore gangster boss villain to lead an organization, but can't trust those annoying pathetic losers(J,J,& M) always failing, but relies on most of his best Team Rocket members mostly(Butch,Kassidy, Professor Namba, & many others) to capture Pokemon.

Vicious(Cowboy Bebop) - He was one cool cold-hearted mysterious villain who's got an awesome pet bird who's put up a good fight against Spike but killed Spike in the finale after the final battle in the end.

Sakyo(YuYu Hakusho) - He was one cool gangster villain to hire 2 powerful demon brothers to steal Tarakane's money away to betting on Yusuke & Kuwabara & enter in the Dark Tournament to battle against the good guys & I was sad when he died after the final battle since Kuwabara's sister had a crush on him.

Crocodile/Mr.0(One Piece/8th Movie) - He was the cool mobster boss-type villain who's got an organization of bounty hunters, wants to take over Alabasta, start a rebellion, find a secret hidden weapon, & is the 1st strongest villain with cool powers to make Luffy famous of course for the World Government.

Kinda disappointed he wasn't mentioned on the list, but since he's pretty obscure, no surprise...
Bugsy Vile of Dog City. Not just the whole fact that I love the Muppets, mind you. But he is indefinately one of the wackier cartoon gangsters out there. And there's no topping his famous catchphrase, "Senseless! I love it!" Not to mention John Stocker's performance of the character.

How about some of the weird guys from Dicky Tracy? Flathead and Big Boy, I mean Gould put alot of thought into the weirdness of the villans being slightly cartoonish and evil at the same time.
