I was thinking about how many modern artists either cover traditional Christmas songs or come out with Christmas albumns. What are your favorites and least favorites?
Also, I know I put "rock n roll" in the title, but I was also thinking of country musicians or some of the Christmas tunes by Sinatra on the radio.
Speaking of which, I do like Sinatra's version of the Little Drummer Boy. I'm sure he probably phoned that performance in, but his voice is so great.
My favorite, though, has to be the version of "Frosty the Snowman" by Leon Redbone and Dr. John. I remember they used to play it a lot around the holidays on VH1, but I can't find now!
My least favorite would be the Beach Boys "Little Saint Nick", which always seems a bore to me.
