No surprises here, but hey, they're my favorites; one per artist (otherwise it would be a list of NMTB and my nine favorite Bob Dylan albums):

The Sex Pistols: Never Mind The Bollocks

Bob Dylan: Highway 61 Revisted/Blood On The Tracks/Street Legal/Empire Burlesque (I really can't pick one)

Traveling Wilburys: Vol. 1

The Stone Roses: The Stone Roses

XTC: Apple Venus Vol. 1

The Smiths: The Queen Is Dead

Bruce Springsteen: Born To Run

Echo & The Bunnymen: Ocean Rain

Townes Van Zandt: Rear View Mirror

Chuck Berry: The Definitive Collection

...with all the standard disclaimers (this list will probably change tomorrow, it's arbitrarily ranked, etc).

Edit: ...and I left off Springsteen in my original list. That'll teach me to jot down lists off the top of my head.

DOLPHY!!!

i still prefer his 'last date' album over the others i've heard but it's ALL good. can't say i've heard this one though, but based on anything else i've heard him play i've got no doubts on it's greatness.

Crowquill, I'm interested in seeing what your list of favorite albums to listen to straight through would be, if you wouldn't mind..

If you do, take your time. This took me 2 weeks and a lot of rearranging to finally get it set. I can't even remeraber how many times i flip-flopped 'Astral Weeks' and 'On the Beach'. But I have to stick with my boy Neil.
