Favorite Album Covers

^I believe there were four songs I liked off Splinter. Everything else was garbage.

Well yeah.. I never thought he was well received as that, quite shocked really. I thought he was just shit and I actually thought he was considered average by the critics but he's actually respected, well he was anyway. So I can see the comparison now, someone well received that you don't get/don't like/think are crap in a few years becoming something special to people who are currently likkle. I dunno who I don't like in modern music at the moment that would be considered great in 15 years.. I'd like to prepare myself though. When my days of forum posting stop and if the day comes where I speak to/have kiRAB/or whatever and they hold an album from the 00s that I hate in high regard, you'll be the first person I think of. "Jan...something! What was his name"

WOW!!! I never noticed. I am so impressed that I have to find a prog rock nerd to talk to about what position they stood in and exactly what position their toe prints were in that day. If only I could take a leave of absence from work to discover this masterpiece more (What I am getting at is that is no Abraxas). I'm sorry for being so ignorant but I am semi drunk and really Pink Floyded out. Merry Christmas Prog folks...may Santa bring you tapes of three minutes of unreleased Pink Floyd studio farts. That shizznit is goin PLATINUM:pimp:

No I really never heard of him  I'm not into older rock music really.. or progressive rock or psychedelic rock for me friendo. It's just not for me I guess. I understand I'm in the minority when it comes to things like really popular banRAB. I've never heard a full Beatles song, a full Pink Floyd song, a full Led Zepplin song and yeah. 90% of my stuff is electronic aside from some Black Metal, Shoegaze, Post Rock, and a few other things.

Otep - Smash The Control Machine

Very strange album cover, but I like it. The album itself wasn't that great compared to earlier Otep albums, though.

:) Chill out there MJ, if the man thinks it's cool that they're in different positions in each picture, than let him think that. I've always thought that album looked pretty cool and I never even noticed that.

And I'm looking foward to the previously unreleased three minute studio fart sessions. :D

Three of my favourite albums to hail from Australia here, and three more examples of my favourite cover art.

I'd put a bit more into this post than a few pictures, but it's hard to explain why they appeal to me as much as they do. To me, they have this desolate, isolated kinda vibe to them, which I dig in an album cover I suppose.

It's interesting because, depending on how I look at it, I love and feel lukewarm about this cover.

Edit: The fact that it seems like there are a billion versions of this (colours) is also intriguing.
