It`s not random at all.

I heard Slayer first, I thought Reign In Blood was a good album (although i`m not keen on the others).

Pantera however came a bit later & didn`t impress me nearly as much. In fact i`d say they were primaily the band that started the whole wave of downtuned chuggy metal banRAB that I loathe.

I don't hate all over the top albums. Just a general rule, I usually dislike them if there's too much going on. Quite like that one though.

You never know who will be forgotten and who will be revered, that's my point. It's rarely what you think it will be. If you had asked me in 1995, I would've thought Soundgarden would be forgotten about by now and yet people a lot younger than myself talk about them as some kind of classic band.
