Any lines from films that stand out for you?

One of my faves would be the reccuring line fron IT:

Pennywise: "They float, and when you're down here with us, you'll float too!"
Always found that really chilling

Beautifully mangled! :)
It's
"I'm saying I'm an insect that dreamed he was a man and loved it, but now the dream is over and the insect is awake."
(I think)
One of my favourite scenes - Goldblum should have got an Oscar.

I didnt come back to tell you that I cant live without you, ..I can live without you... I just dont want to.

- jennifer aniston - rumour has it

No, it was written by a chap called David Peoples, but was a long soliloquy that Rutger Hauer requested Ridley Scott edit down to just those few lines. Hauer ad-libbed the "All those moments..." line. It was just about the last thing filmed before they had to leave the set for the last time on the last day of filming.

"GET AWAY FROM HER YOU BITCH!!!" Ellen Ripley, Aliens.

"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side kid" Han Solo, Star Wars: A New Hope

"There's not a day goes by I don't feel regret. Not because I'm in here, or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then: a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can't. That kid's long gone and this old man is all that's left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It's just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don't give a shit." Red, The Shawshank Redemption.

"I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are best left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in worRAB, and makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a gray place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made those walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free." Red again.

"We could let HER do it." Gollum, The Two Towers (actually it's that whole one-shot monologue I love, but that one line is fab)

"What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh?" Gollum Return of the King.

You can't beat 'my name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next. ' (from Gladiator).

And also from Gladiator-the line where Marcus Aurelius says to the trader 'you sold me queer giraffes!' :D

"There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play carRAB with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese. "

Teen Wolf

'Listen, and understand. That terminator is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead!'

- Kyle Reese

Loved Dirty Harry's "I know what you're thinking. 'Did he fire six shots or only five?' Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?" but was always disappointed that, come the actual shooting, it did no such thing.

Oh, an' talking of favourite quotes, gotta put in a word for Roy's "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die." speech in Blade Runner.
