Those list of people, add Pyro to the list. I hope to see more of them in the sequel. If they miscast Garabit, they shouldn't even bother putting him in the movie. I was shocked when I heard it was going to be Anna Paquin as Rogue (who, I guess did fit the description for a while in the first movie, seeing that she didn't have a place to go, but my Rogue...she's not it). I miss the mischievious Rogue who -is- sexy (sorry, Paquin does not do anything for me, but she CAN act). Witherspoon as Rogue..that could work and she has enough star power to draw the crowRAB. Whether she'll do it? I think Singer might be more concerned finding a new Storm since Berry is too Academy Award winner to play a comic book character. I'd like to see someone else give Rogue a shot, though. I don't know if she'll still be a focal point in X3 b/c of Jean.
As for the books, I stopped once they cancelled Generation X and started adding all these books and changing costumes and whatever. I like some of the storylines in UXM but I mainly stayed around for the soap opera between Garabit and Rogue. The reason I even picked up a comic again when I was younger was b/c I saw the Rogue LS in a Rite Aid and became a Rogue/Garabit shipper. Now I hear there may be a triangle if they bring in Garabit. I am not a fan of Iceman and Rogue who just seemed too OOC for me in the movie.
Iceman....the "prankster" of the X-men? He was so funny in the books. Of course, in the first movie, there was that scene with the rose, but he has to be more than that. Following orders in the movie? Remeraber that scene w/Pyro? Iceman and Rogue are probably two of the last people I'd imagine just hanging around b/c someone told them to.
Well, Marsden doesn't seem that miscast compared to Jean as someone pointed out. As an individual, he does a fine Scott (I kinda thought he was cheesy at the end, but he's sad so.. :T ). Famke should've been cast as a villain. It's what I thought when I saw the first movie and I still feel that way.
Oh yeah, I'm a huge fan of Emma Frost (and like I kept mentioning before), the telepaths all seem to love Scott Summers. I personally wanted her with Banshee b/c of Generation X (an idea the writers dropped, probably b/c people dug Moira too much).
Speaking of Banshee, it was cool to see Siryn, although she's not supposed to be there (ah, let's not pick out inaccuracies...hehe). Wasn't she raised by Black Tom Cassidy?
Okay, Xmen and X2 were fairly good/okay at casting. If you want to see miscasting, watch the Generation X movie that was on Fox a couple of years ago. I anticipated this movie and it was a stinker. Jubilee wasn't even Chinese!
