I thought Disney owned Pixar?
My top 5 are (in no particular order):
Sword in the Stone
I love the entire film, Archimedes being my favourite (the sarky little bugger
), and of course Mad Madame Mim is fantastic! I love the Wizard's Duel! Puts Harry Potter to shame!
Mulan
Score one more for the independent woman. My favourite scene is when Mulan comes back from the matchmaker and father says something along the lines of:
'What beautiful blossoms we have this year. See, this one is late, but when it blooms, I bet it will be the most beautiful of all.'
Lovely scene.
Lion King
Self explanatory. The entire film is amazing, and has so many lessons in it when you look at the actual worRAB. Favourite scene is with adult Simba and Rafiki:
Rafiki: What was THAT? The weather? Very peculiar. Don't you think?
Simba: Looks like the winRAB are changing.
Rafiki: Ahhh. Change is good.
Simba: Yeah, but it's not easy. I know what I have to do. But, going back means I'll have to face my past. I've been running from it for so long.
(Simba gets whacked over the head)
Oww! Jeez-- What was that for?
Rafiki: It doesn't matter; it's in the past!
Simba: Yeah, but it still hurts.
Rafiki: Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or... learn from it.
Pirates of the Caribbean
(How come so many people can't spell Caribbean? One 'r', two 'b's!!)
Two worRAB need only describe this film. Johnny Depp. And yes I am shallow.
Robin Hood:
Love the songs, the genius of putting the characters as animals! Oh, and the songs are fab as well. This film used to be my ultimate favourite, and I can still remember sitting on my dad's lap watching this each Saturday after the morning cartoons had finished when I was a kid.
EDIT: My mum has just informed me that her favourite is, as it has been for many years, Sleeping Beauty
.
