fav christmas movies????

No matter how old you are, xmas movies you can still enjoy.

Someone said Die Hard. I know that is set in xmas but I watch it all the time - take it more of a action movie.

Home Alone for me.
Also like the arnie film 'jingle all the way':o
And anything to do with Santa, ie miracle on 34th (only seen the new version though), santa clause and father christmas

I love Miracle on 34th Street (new version, have not seen the old must try and watch it) although I cry every single time I watch it. :D

I like the Santa Clause films too.

Love all the movies above pretty much, with Scrooged and Christmas Vacation being seasonal regulars. Also add to the list Albert Finney's musical Scrooge. I bloody love that.

Yes, my alltime fav Christmas movie. It has the lot - great music, pathos, comedy, tears, redemption... a classic.
Bernard & The Genie is another fav, Rowan Atkinson is hillarious in it. "Bugger ye off!" :D
A recent fav is Joyeux Noel, a movie about the Christmas Day truce of World War 1. Very emotional stuff, great movie.

Well, I love the book A Christmas Carol, and there are a couple of adaptations that I love

Scrooge (the Alastair Sim version)
The Muppet Christmas Carol

also

The Snowman
Holiday Inn
White Christmas
Meet me in St Louis
It's a Wonderful Life

Muppet Christmas Carol and the new Miracle on 34th Street all the way!

I love Nightmare before Christmas as well, but one thing has always puzzled me. Whenever it's shown on terrestrial TV (I think the last time was last year on itv), why is it always on ridiculously late at night? It's been shown at gone midnight on several occasions, but I would consider it to be fairly tame and know lots of children that love it ?
