Fatty Liver

I was diagnosed last year with a Fatty Liver - they did a CT Scan and concluded it was a fatty liver. No Gallstones - I am on a cholesterol pill to lower my cholesterol. I am now paying for not listening to my doctor because I am having pains again in my liver and every item that I eat that has the least bit of fat in it makes me have dirreahea. So two weeks ago, I started to exercise and eat less and lost 6 lbs but need to lose 90 more pounds. I am eating oatmeal for breakfast, small salad no dressing for lunch, skinless chicken and vegetables. I am eating very bland food. I am so worried (I have panic attacks on top of all this) and depressed. I hope I didn't cause alot of damage. I have an appointment for my physical. I am so depressed. I ate a salad today with dressing and an hour later I had the runs and don't know if it was a bad salad or couldn't take the salad dressing.

gee whiz that is a bummer. when is your physical? i hope it is soon so you can get your mind at ease about the current state of your liver. its good that you are eating safe foods now. were you not taking your cholesterol meds at all?

panic attacks are the worst, aren't they? oh goodness i used to get those often. do you have people you can call when you feel one coming on? if you have a plan ahead of time - a friend or family member or someone that knows they are your panic buddy that you can call at any time of the day or night (mine always happened at night around 3 a.m. or when i was driving my car. awful!!). knowing you have someone to reach out to can often be enough to keep the panic at bay.

sorry you're going through this. you're doing a good job keeping with safe foods and sensible exercise. keep it up.

I have been taking the cholesterol meds all along but my eating habits had to change. I am just wondering if anyone else experienced the same symptoms with fatty liver.

you might find posting your inquiry on the liver board more helpful. have you done a search there on fatty liver? you might find someone has posted something interesting to you.
