fatal alert

I bought a new Tungsten T3. Right after I bought it my Stedman's Medical Dictionary expansion card worked. Two days later when I put it in I get a message saying "Fatal Alert", "Fatal Exception". The only way to clear the alert is to hit the reset button on the back. I haven't downloaded any new programs or changed any settings. What can I do?

This may not be very helpful but,

I have not used expansion cards before, when you put them in for the first time do they install their own drivers?

If so may be a corrupt driver file,
delete the file and start from scratch

but like I said this might not be any help
 
Hello, even with a new T3, be sure to go to palmone's site, and under support download all the ubdated patches for the T3. This alone may solve the problem.
 
In addition to the good advice about installling the PalmOne updates for the T3, you should go to the Stedman site and make sure that the program is compatible with OS 5.x. I don't know what type of Palm you had before but it's common to have to upgrade programs when coming to OS5.x from earlier versions.
 
When I first got my T3, I had problems installing applications until after I performed a hard reset. You should do a hard reset before attempting to set up your new T3.
