Carbohydrates provide you the energy to do what you need to do every day. What you need to do is find a way to burn more calories than you take in. No diet can completely do the job for you, you've got to exercise too.

And once you get your weight down to the desired level, don't stop doing what got you there in the first place, or you'll end up right back where you are now.

Good luck to you.

Magnolia there is another option.

You can accept who you are, find people who do the same, and just ignore the stupid people. They will ALWAYS find a reason to make fun of you or act like assholes, it's what they do. You can never be free of the morons who feel better by insulting people. Do what you feel is right, losing weight is not a cure all. It just makes them look for reasons other than weight to figure out why you suck.

Oh, wow, how could I have missed this? He's right. If you're bound and determined to be thin and healthy, do it for the right reasons. The only one that's important is for yourself.

Just want to say it's extremely common to gain weight around the 8th grade. I did and so did many others I knew. It's good to be conscious of your weight but only for the purpose of staying healthy. You're still young and you should be able to pull it off a lot easier. Just be careful, don't do what most people do and stop eating and go to the gym like crazy. That's absolutely unhealthy. Swimming and bicycle riding is great.

The other #1 is stearing away from sweets like pastries, cake and all that stuff. Substitute it with fruits and veggies. It's not as hard as it seems.

You're doing alright.

And another thing, don't listen to what people say about your weight. I heard it a lot and I wasn't even heavy. When I was 14, I was 5'6" and weighed 145. It was so fucking annoying and only damages your self-esteem.

I think 8th grade has to be the same as in my country..? well anyways,I became overweight in 7th grade (I think so) I'm a small person and after my dad died everything just felt like crap and I never cared about anything..but after 1-2years I considered myself really fat and got into a deep depression+my dad death..so I fell down about 10kg (22pound)..and now I'm "to thin" according do BMI..but what I'm really trying to say is, do it for the right reasons..Now I have a tiny tummy and can't eat so much and if i drop even lower it becomes dangerous(sp??) for me. SO do it if you want to, and do it for the right reasons.

If you do it for the wrong reasons it just fucks up, or don't do it all accept your wonderful body, just the way nature made you. :hug2:

Take the advice people have given, dont stop eating carbs!!

Like Sektor said, carbs basically are the fuel, they give you energy. No carbs = bad. Dont go absolutely nuts on eating them (although you said you couldnt so thats not an issue! :) ), but DO have carbs in your diet.

Other than that... there's nothing really to add... all ill say is good luck, i think you can do it.
