Just watched this Russ Meyer film.

What a classic!
Keeps you gripped from start to finish, the girls look great, and it is shot so well.

Why does it have an 18 certificate though :rolleyes:

No breasts, no swearing, the violence surely doesnt make it an 18?
 
Just seen this one, and it was truly amazing. One of a kind. I've never seen anything like it.

I think they show it occasionally on TCM. A film you either love or hate I guess. The three leading ladies, though not the best actresses in the world are definitely something you'll remember. Tura Satana is perfect in her role, and the murder taking place is perhaps the most brutal I have ever seen on the screen, and extremely realistic.

What a movie...
 
I heard rumours about that. Also rumours that Britney Spears will be one of the three lead women...

If well made, it can be a *very* good remake....
 
It's probably Meyer's best film. No idea why it's an '18' if it still is, I'm genuinely flabbergasted. It should be a '15' and would have to scrape that, especially given the blatant (but hey, 'commericial' ie acceptable) sadism of most 12As.



Oh God how I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the home of a Soccer Mom family where the wrong 'Up!' finRAB it way into the DVD recorder in front of the unattended kiRAB... :D :D :D
 
I'd say it was Russ Meyer's second best film, after Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

Some of the acting is a little ropey and it definitely looks low budget, but it's much more coherent than most of his work and is strangely sexy without actually showing anything.
 
Didn't I start this rumour? well not a rumour as such, I just suggested a while back it would be a great Tarantino project, eepecially if it had Penelope Cruz kicking arse in it.
