Ugh, I totally understand your pain. We had to read it in English class this year. Spark Notes is your best bet to reading it fast. If you actually wanna sit there and try to get the whole thing, then you're going to have to simply bite the bullet and read. Fortunately, it's not super long. The chapters go by quickly as well. It's just not an interesting book. African culture is good (I guess), but very boring. Sorry about having to read it. Good luck
