Fast & Furious

Saw the film last night at a special preview (I think there were a few around the country) a week before release to get audience reactions.

It was better than I expected, not quite as many cars as I'd have liked but a more thought out plot than the 2nd film. I never watched 2Fast2Furious so I can't comment on whether they glossed over it, but there were quite a few references to the 1st film.

Yes, I'm going on what I was told about the 2nd film not being very good (and they seem to forget it even happened in the 4th and only reference the 1st)

I hope so! 2 Fast 2 Furious was terrible, even prefered Tokyo Drift to it.

I enjoyed the first one, hated the second, and liked the third but not as much as the first. This new one has all the main characters back from the first, so I assume it will be more like the first hopefully, I shall be there to see it.

I don't think much would be cut out for the 12A release here, 12A can include an awful lot now.

Saw 5 minutes of 2Fast2Furious on TV the other night - he looked so young.

I had to look it up on IMDB. It was filmed in 2003 which would put him about 29 at the time. I'm only 28 and I wish I looked that good :)

From the bbfc: To obtain this category cuts of 0m 3s were required. Distributor chose to make one cut to sight of man having his head slammed into a wall resulting in a follow-on shot of the man's broken and bloodied nose in order to attain a 12A category. An uncut 15 was available.

a fifth film can take place after tokyo, doesnt have to show how dom got to tokyo afterall,we know hes on the run, i wanna see what happens AFTER tokyo more than what happens inbetween fand f and drift

When I watched the film I sensed there was something wrong with the scene and guessed it must have been cut in some way. Its noticeable but doesn't spoil a good film.

It's confirmed that Vin Diesel and Paul Walker will be back for the fifth so don't think we'll get to see this I'm afraid :D

Saw this movie tonight and thought it was just awesome!
Been a fan of the series so far but thought this was the best as it was just more mature. They should definitely of added a few extra bits and made it at least a 15 cert! (like the US version)

Only thing I'm confused about is Dom's charger -
He blew it up in the tunnel at the towarRAB the end, yet Brian is driving it right at the last scene, along with Letty's necklace around the mirror

I would like the answer to that question too.

Went to see this last night and wasn't disappointed. PW is ridiculously good-looking, so that never hurts on a big screen. Sure, he's not the best actor in the world, but who cares! LoL

The cars were stunning, and I thought the tunnel scenes were very well directed.

The only disappointment was that after having seen the theatrical trailer, the opening scene was kind of ruined. I guess they have to show you the exciting bits to tease you into going to see it but it does spoil it slightly. Also..............
I was disappointed Letty was killed off so early in the film. I know that was the premise for the whole story, but with Vin/Michelle doing all the PR for the movie, I expected more Dom/Letty scenes.

Other than that, I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to #5.

PS. I HATED Tokyo Drift. It didn't feel right for me.
