Kay so i'm against having fast food in schools. And i have to debate this topic, and if i say that they should get rid of fast foods in schools, i was thinking that the other side will probably say "well the other lunches are gross!" and i no idea how to respond to that! Help!

the problem I see with this is the fact that fast food is everywhere. It has no business at school.Introduces healthier food programs with a wider selection of not so processed foods.Hire actual cooks to prepae foods.
Having no P.E. also is a bad idea. Our school kids deserve a healthy lifestyle, not only mentally but physically.Thats what school is about.

Okay. Well first, you must organize your debate and your thoughts.
Topic: Fast Food in Schools - why they are bad
Points: Must hit at least 3 main points (preferably w/evidence so they can be more strong)
for example:
1. Who does it affect
a. According to (the website).....it states that....
2. What are other alternatives
a.
3. Although some might argue that school lunches are "gross", they are still more healthy than fast food

& so on and so forth...

the best thing you can do is to be well informed of the topic, go online and research and cite FORMAL websites that give you informations of why fast food is bad. Be well informed of the topic, READ READ AND READ so this way you can bring your opponent down.

I hope this helped, if not then just email me and i'll help you out. I LOVE DEBATES!

You just give them examples of healthy foods that aren't gross...
like fruit (who doesn't like fruit?! watermelon, strawberries, pineapple...), frozen yogurt, smoothies, burgers (red meat--in small amounts--IS good for you!)
and also remind them that things won't change that much. They'll still be eating chicken, burgers, pasta, etc.--but there will just be more options that are healthy.

In Britain the government responded to the increase of obesity in children by introducing healthier school meals. The feedback from my school was positive.

Healthy food doesn't have to be gross. Most popular food at my school are things like smoothies and baked potatoes, most kids like stuff like that.
