...Fashion Photography?

I have to write a 4000 word essay in the area of fashion photography but I need a specific topic to research and discuss. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Maybe I could narrow it down to 2 fashion photographers and their influence on the fashion world, or discuss commercialism vs. art etc.

I really need some help choosing and your answers would be so appreciated. Thanks

Looking at the influence of two photographers is probably the best way to go. What might be interesting is to look at a photography who did/does both fashion and fine art and fashion photography and study the influences their art has brought to their fashion work.
