Fans planning to watch the big game next year better stock up on some thermals.
The Farmers' Almanac predicted that a major snowstorm will hit the northeast coast sometime between Feb. 1 and Feb. 3, just in time for the Feb. 2 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium.
The forecast was part of the Maine-based publication's prediction of an extreme cold winter for most of the country.
Super Bowl XLVIII is the first time the NFL Championship game has been played in the northeast. Despite concerns that the tri-state area's winter climate would make the game unbearable for fans and players, the NFL has guaranteed that it will do everything it comfortable.
