farewell razr...now what phone should I get?

It's not that I don't love my razr, but I don't like my phone company, and I figured if I'm gonna switch companies, maybe I should try another phone. Hopefully you guys will give me some choices. Not looking for any specific company btw. Here are some specifications on what I would use it for and some features I would like:
- light talker
- HEAVY texting
- HEAVY IMing
- internet browsing
- watch videos
- make own ringtones and wallpapers

(wow...my description kinda makes it seem like I have no life lol)
 
I don't know what companies you are thinking of switching to, but I will give you the advice I give everybody. Get a smartphone with a qwerty keyboard, you will love it. Try the Cingular 8525, unless you dont like Cingy. If you want to go to Tmobile Try the MDA or the Dash, on verizon or sprint it is the treo 700's. These are not just phones they are really like having the future in your pocket. They are the type of device you thought the jetsons imagined having. The future is now, and it is made by Microsoft.
 
well it looks like I'm gonna go with verizon. I went to the store to check out the phones you guys recommended. The treo 700 is a GORGEOUS phone just a little too pricey for me at the moment. I think I may have to go with the Q...for now. Are there any major differences between the treo and the Q?
I also saw the new white krzr...that is a hell of a sexy phone the only thing that's keeping me from buying it is that has no qwerty keyboard
 
I second that. Its a much better phone the both teh Q and Dash. It sounds perfect for your needs....

and you can forget Cingular is the largest carrier in teh US, you have the option for 7pm nights, you get Rollover and IN Calling to almost 60 million people!


To bad you decided to go with Verizon. I have had nothing but bad expiriences with them.
