I just wanted to alert people to the fact that there's a movie on C4 this afternoon entitled 'Fanny By Gaslight'.

Yep, still cracks me up to this day. I especially liked the hymn with the line "I was cold/ I was naked/Where you there?/Where you there?" We all thought it was the funniest thing in the world, & if you were honest I know you thought so too :D
 
Forgot about that one! Top hymn. The one we boys all hated was a Jesus-in-the-manger one. The chorus went "we will rock you, rock you, rock you" (I know that sounRAB like Queen), and all the girls would pretend to rock a baby as they sang it. Yuk! I'm sure one line went "darling darling little man" too, very strange, maybe it was one of these modern ones?
