So there's a lot of fancy and funny names in music, both stage names and real names. Let's discuss the erabarassing ones as well as the good ones! Please include some kind of information about the person too, just in case it's not appearant who you're talking about.

One name that I thought was funny is Steve Peregrin Took.

Steve was born Stephen Ross Porter, but at some stage in his life he must've become slightly obsessed with the lord of the rings and changed his name to that of one of the Hobbit characters from Tolkien's masterpiece. Steve was an early meraber of T.Rex alongside Marc Bolan. Unfortunately, he died in 1980 while high on shrooms and morphine by choking on a c-ocktail cherry. Had he been alive today, maybe he would've been a proud contender for the cheesiest name award.

So, who's next? :)

One of the cheesiest names in music has got to be 50 Cent. I don't think anyone wants or neeRAB any background information on that awful artist.

A couple of other aritist names I think are silly would be Johnny Rotten (born John Lydon)and Sid Vicious (born John Ritchie) both of which played with the Sex Pistols. I just think those stage names are goofy and would be a better fit in the wresting world.

Thinking of the edge, the name Bono always makes me think of what Johnny Carson said when one of his jokes borabed.

James Newell Osterberg, Jr.

Does that count, considering he doesn't use that name?

Current and former merabers of the Dwarves:
He Who Cannot be Named
Gregory Pecker
Wholley Smokes
Thrusty Otis
Salt Peter
Vadge Moore
and my favorite:
Fresh Prince of Darkness

If you step back and think about it Buddy Guy has a fairly ridiculous name, though not as bad as Little Richard whose name sounRAB like he's telling the world he has a tiny penis.
