Famous People dislikes in animation

Unfortunately I don't have time to read all that. Could you summarize Crumb's opinion to a couple of sentences?

And here's another one for the list: Siskel and Ebert didn't care much for The Critic, which is interesting considering they agreed to voice themselves on the show.

I don't like/do sarcasm. It's a terrible, soul-crushing emotion that's bitter and has nothing of worth to offer. Warner Bros. had a kindred relationship between the last two surviving members of Termite Terrace, and I'm sure they showed them the rough drafts and finished episodes of Tiny Toons to get their blessings.

I get the vibe that Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker, The Joker) doesn't like South Park (at least initially). Hamill was interviewed on VH1 Goes Inside Primetime Cartoons, talking about how when he first heard about and saw South Park, he thought that it was just "Peanuts with dirty words". Mark also told a story about how he was surprised to find out that his daughter was a fan of the show just by glancing at her computer one day.

As far as I know, none of the Beatles liked the Sat AM cartoon. I've seen some episodes, and well, I can't blame them.

Berke Breathed disliked the animated Opus and Bill Christmas special that aired years ago.

And this doesn't really count, but one time I called R.O. Blechman and asked him about the animated "Juggler of Our Lady" short that was made at Terrytoons under Gene Deitch's rule. He said there were things that he didn't like, but he wasn't so hard at it, because "what's done is done".

I was under the impression that the Beatles were actually impressed with the finished film, and that their initial reluctance to take part in it was due to the afforementioned cartoon, and the experiances stemming from the previous films.

I could be wrong though. Unlikely as that may be. :D

Well, from what I remember Mark Bode (son of Vaughn Bode) didn't like Wizards as it seemed to him to be a rip-off of Vaughns Cheech Wizard and supposebly Vaughn wanted Bakshi to make an animated Cheech until he saw Fritz the Cat, and most of us should know what Crumb thought of the animated version of his character.

My thoughts exactly, and don't forget this is the guy whos paid to make 3-4 shows, plug the King, and expected his fans to buy him BK if one of them won a contest! Despite all that money he has and the writing talent at his disposale his jokes are poor and predictable, gee, didn't I just paraphrase what he said of Dreamworks and Pixar? While I do agree with him atleast Pixar and DW can be charming while Family Guy is either annoying or stupid.
