So, I have to write a research report on an event in American History that I think changed the lives of people today or what not.

I don't want to do anything concerning the civil rights movements for women and blacks. I don't mind if the topic ties into that, but I don't want to write solely on that.

Mostly, I'm interested in 1920's.
And the 18th century.
Anyone have any ideas?
Anything connected to music, or perhaps spy missions in World War I or World War II would be fine. I'm just blank.

Operation Market Garden
Storming at Omaha Beach
Vietnam
THe Cold War/Red Scare...lots of spies and nukes
