Family Guy without Seth McFarlane?

Honestly, I doubt Fox is that dumb to continue one of their biggest franchises without its creator and risk the wreck. I'm 90% positive something will be resolved

Brian: (In Wanda Syke's voice) Whose leg do you have to hump to get a martini around here?

Stewie: (Tara Strong's Timmy Turner voice) Damn you, vile woman!
 
Well, a lot of shows continue to go on even after their creator leaves. I think the big issue is that Seth is responsible for voicing so many characters. I guess I'd sort of rather have the show cancelled than hear a fake Peter, Brian, Stewie etc. voice. But I hope your right that something will be resolved. It would be pretty much impossible for 'Family Guy' to go on without Seth.
 
If McFarlane goes, it's almost a sure bet that Seth Green will walk along with him, since they've got a great relationship. McFarlane's a semi-regular on Robot Chicken, so he's probably got Green in his corner.
 
Remember that one episode of Family Guy where the Griffins became the stars of their own reality show, and were eventually re-casted by celebrities because they refused to continue the show without Meg?

It's going to be like that.
 
I really don't think it's going to come to "Family Guy without Seth" like so many people are thinking. Most likely the 'near completed' episodes are ones where even the ADR has been done and Seth's involvement comes down to signing off on the final edits, sound mix, etc. Nothing that can't be done by a higher-up if say, Seth had a sick day. It's just a formality for him to approve it, since it's his baby.

If it gets to the point where entire segments aren't completed and McFarlane is required, I'd think Fox would put the show on hiatus rather than continue. And if there's a fallout between Fox and McFarlane after the strike's over, the show would probably be A)canceled or B)wrap up production and then not be renewed. Unless FG has some unbreakable contract through 2010 that I haven't heard of.
 
There probably is some conflict. In one of the original commentary tracks, Seth and a writer seem to get into an actual argument. Seth accuses the guy of "acting pissy about it" and there's a notable audio switch.
