Family Guy - "We Love You Conrad" - Talkback [5/3]

This episode was redeemed at the VERY LAST nanosecond by the sight of Conrad with worms. HE-HAW!

I can understand Sting on most of his songs, especially "Streets of Gold." Ya might want to get your hearing checked, Cherry.

Is anyone laughing at phoned-in Stewie gay jokes anymore? Anyone at all? This is the most predictable string of running gags I've ever seen.
 
I agree. Jillian isn't as bad as Herbert. Though Herbert hasn't been as bad since he's not appearing in every episode like he has before. I found that keeping those characters around isn't as bad when they don't overdo it.



Yeah. That's what really got to me. Brian was annoyed at Lauren's attitude. Then figured it was because he still loves Jillian. When really the situation was that Lauren was a pain in the butt. Sounds like Brian really isn't that bright.
 
Yeah, the focus on Jillian again wasn't the problem with this one (and actually, I think it's kinda neat that the show is doing arcs like that). It simply wasn't that tightly-written or funny.

Question: Does anyone here watch The Hills? I don't, but I'd like to know if there is truly that much in the episode that would confuse those who don't watch The Hlls.
 
Too much live action cameos of scenes from The Hills and The A-Team as well as Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon, and Craig Ferguson monologing about Stewie and Conrad!

What was the reason Stewie said "SAY WHAT???"
 
I think his point wasn't that he couldn't get over the fact a dog is dating a human, it was that you shouldn't take a dog and a human's relationship so seriously, saying things like "most of Brian's problems with his love life are his fault."

As for me, I don't have a problem with it at all. Like I said, I just don't find it funny. And it's even worse when they put him in a relationship with a Jillian or a Lauren Conrad. They might as well put him in a relationship with Paris Hilton next.

With that being said, for those of you who aren't familiar with The Hills, it's a reality show about rich chicks who spend their time gossiping. Lauren Conrad is the star and she's got about as much talent as Paris Hilton, ala none.
 
When will Brian ever date a dog? I mean, he's overdue for a second Dog date, ever since Sea Breeze, who belongs to Carter Pewtershmidt.
 
American Idol, Dances with the Stars and I think I have heard some of them talk about Rock of Love. Nothing on MTV is ever brought up by the women I know. But none of my female friends are spoiled airhead drama queen teenagers who would actually watch the crap on MTV.
 
i can not remember the last time tom tucker and diane (blanked on the name) were used other than a phoned in plot development gag. when in the episode about fox news they talked about the reprecutions of HDTV. they used to come in for 2 imnutes have some dialog written for them specifically and then do their lame plot development gag. plu what happened to ollie wilson where did he go he had my favority lines ever in FG. i really wish they would do more of them with the news people in terms of jokes. for me that has been the biggest dissappointment when watching FG.
