Family Guy TV Character come out

Then there was the episode (I forget which) with the HMS Pinafore cutaway that ends with Stewie singing, "But I'd rather get it on with you" to his fellow shipmates.

Well, as I have been told many times, the internet has zero tone of voice, so I didn't notice it. The Stewies is gay OMG ones were easy, since that is the point of this thread, but i didn't pick the Lois is Jewish part.

It's just an excuse to make Stewie have no character or personality whatsoever. His character changes every single episode, and it's funny to people because "A baby's doing it".

Stewie is not a character, well at least hasn't been one for a long time.

Yeah, but Stewie also speaks like an average adult and understands the greater surroundings of the outside world. I think all bets are off on what can and can't be done with him.

Perhaps I misread, but it didn't sound like MacFarlane was saying they plan to portray him as strictly gay from here on, just that he is indeed gay. He said they find it funnier to play him both ways, and it sounded like that's what they intend to keep doing.

Agreed, Stewie was always gay for me, ever since the early days where people considered it to be FG prime. If him being gay was as obvious in these last seasons... I don't know what to say about that, after all, hitting on Brian, his son, having people over at Brian's apartment. There are also other examples as well, but I think that's enough.

I actually knew a gay guy back in High School that dated several women before he came out of the closet. He took a woman with him to our school prom up until Senior year, which was when he came out to people. Sure it isn't the media or anything, but it does show that it isn't limited to the media or anything.

How is saying he's gay "ruining" him at all? He's still the EXACT SAME CHARACTER. And if he shouldn't be interested in anyone as a baby, well, he shouldn't be plotting to kill people or be so knowledgeable as a baby either by that logic, so you can't use that defense.

I actually laughed out loud when Stewie killed his ...other self.

Yeah, that's basically why I'd doubt it was to be taken seriously, but still, you never know.

And that was probably the least offensive portrayal of transsexual that I've ever seen in something. Since it wasn't built so much on stereotypes... Although the voice was a bit low. o_O
