That's the plan, as the main plot is supposed to focus on Brian dating Quagmire's ex (and vice versa).

Yeah. It's interesting that their focusing more on the rivalry between Brian and Quagmire. I wonder if they'll soften up with each other towards the end or if their animosity will get even worse. I guess it can go either way.

Well, I don't know what was crueler:

The part where Peter said they weren't going to show that scene with Fox out of respect and then they decide to show it or that part where Peter threw Brian out of the house while he was upset.
