The "fingering the David Cassidy poster" joke was about the only one where I chuckled. But the episode had more lulls that laughs, and all the TV references seemed forced (whether '80s or not).
I guess if I had to give a compliment to the episode, it was the brand new backdrops and character designs that they had to make. It wasn't taking place inside the house and around Quahog like usual, and that always takes some effort. But if that's the biggest positive I can give it, that the artwork was unique, that's kind of damning with faint praise, isn't it?
