Ohhhh yeah. When people kept saying "Peter Jr", for some reason I was thinking of Cleveland Jr., and I was like, "I don't remember a mini-Peter jumping around like crazy in the episode".

The strange thing is, this sort of gag is pretty much par for the course in this show now. It hardly even phases me. I'm not sure that's a good thing.

EDIT: I see what you were going for with revising the gag. Like, if they had started the cutaway with a close-up of Peter's face, no Lois and no graveyard evident, then after he says his line, they zoom back to show Jr.'s grave, that would've at least given the comic surprise needed for the joke to work. Heck, they could've turned that into a parody of that famous anti-drug ad with the father talking to his son... (zooms back) ONLY HE'S TALKING TO HIS TOMBSTONE!

It's Conway Twitty,which I actually liked his song.

Man,this hilarious episode was better than Family Gay which I hated that episode except for the retarded,brain damaged horse parts that were hilarious:D,hahahaha.
 
I completely agree. They've been doing way too many long cutaways lately. It seems like they felt the need to go through the whole Conway Twitty song before getting back to the show. If you had just turned the TV on at that point, you'd think you were watching a TimeLife ad or something!



See? That's what I'm talking about. Be glad you didn't tune in at the Conway Twitty part and you knew that 'Family Guy' was really supposed to be on.



About that, it is good to see the early homocidal Stewie. I think that's the nice part about this being a lost episode. He did seem to tone down on that after the 'Stewie Kills Lois/Lois Kills Stewie' eps. I think this was meant to take place before that happened.
 
Nice to see a Homer Simpson cameo and a long Conway Twitty musical number.

Let's hope for a future Simpsons episode Homer returns the favor with his introduction to a Conway Twitty song!
