Family Guy - "The Big Bang Theory" - Talkback [5/8]

Gah, my mind can't make any sense of that ending. There's just too much stuff to work around, not to mention if that Stewie had frozen himself for that long, how could his portrait still exist in the living room unless two of them were running around in the current day?

Ignoring the time travel questions, it was an alright episode. It definitely felt rushed considering how different the 2 halves were from each other. I did laugh at Peter sneaking into the kitchen, Stewie's PBJT, and The Cleveland Show advertisement.

I loved this episode, it felt kind of like a mini movie and I love those types of episodes. Best part was Stewie stealing Brian's best lines though.

Awesome/hilarious episode,

The highlights:
Another Brian/Stewie plot, sweet!!!!!
Peter sneaking to the cookie dough, hahahahaha.
Stewie going back in time to make a comeback with that snap was classic, hahahahaha.
Stewie ruining Brian's life and stealing Brian's best lines was great, cool that his evil roots always come.
Stewie doing the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song, awesome:eek::D!!!!!
Brian/Stewie go back in time again, yaaaay!!!!!
The Cleveland Show Promo, hahahaha.
The Brian/Stewie musical notes, hahahaha.
The dancing talking snake, hahahahaha.
Bertram is back, YAAAAY, nice that my favorite villain finally returns:eek::D!!!!!
Leonardo da Vinci is Stewie's ancestor, weird/interesting which Stewie is Italian, Seth, you're a genius!!!!!
Bertram's evil plan to kill Leonardo da Vinci was great which he'll be creating a time paradox, yikes!!!!!
The disturbing Thomas Edison gag.
Stewie vs. Bertram in the sweet flying machines.
The Italian guys being Fonzie, hehehe.
Woooooow, Bertram succeeded in killing Leonardo, farewell Leonardo.
Bertram's death surprised me, R.I.P. Bertram, you're awesome and you'll be missed, but I hope they bring him back, he had alot of potential.
Stewie replacing Leonardo da Vinci was beautiful.
Brian saving Stewie from his frozen slumber was nice.
Brian mentioning getting Meg to make Stewie wake up was brilliant, hahahahaha:p:D:D.
The Back To The Future references in the episode were awesome.

Wallace Shawn was terrific as Bertram.
Joe Faherty from Back To The Future Part 2 was awesome as the delivery priest.
After bringing back Bertram, I hope they bring back the other forgotten old villains who're Gloria Ironbachs, Patrick(Lois's psychopath brother), Bob Grossbeard, and O.J. Simpson(his episode was hilarious!!!) since they were awesome villains way back.

Why wouldn't it still exist? Just because he was frozen for several hundred years doesn't mean he wasn't born normally. Everything that had happened up to this episode still took place.

It goes: Stewie born > has all his misadventures > invents time machine > goes back to save his ancestor and fails > becomes his own ancestor and freezes himself> Stewie is born and lives his life > goes back in time > Stewie is woken from suspended animation and takes the other Stewie's place. It sounds more complicated when you put it this way, but it's actually pretty simple.

In short, there's always only one Stewie in the present in the time loop. The other is in suspended animation, only to replace the other Stewie when he goes back in time to eventually sire his bloodline and in turn go into suspended animation himself.

Yeah. That's what I was thinking. I really couldn't understand why everything that was going on, was going on. It's just best not to question. But Stewie is sounding more like an evil genius than he has before, you got to give him that.

I thought it should have been a "Road to..." as well, but I guess they didn't want to do more than one of those per season.

Joe Faherty, who played the Western Union man who delivered Doc's letter to Marty at the end of Back to the Future Part II, voiced the priest who delivered Stewie's letter to Brian. Did anyone else catch that?

First Family Guy episode I saw in a while. I did chuckle throughout and I wasn't expecting Bertram to show up. Sucks that he's dead, since I also thought he had potential to be more of a rival for Stewie.

Great awesome episode. The plot was so planned and the episode looked great. The best jokes where Peter with the dough, Peanut Butter Jelly Time!, The Cleveland Show, the 'this doesn't count as our trip to Italy' comment, Stewie waking up after hearing Brian mention Meg & the candle.

I'm still a little confused. Who is Leonardo Da Vinci supposed to be an ancestor of? Lois or Peter? Cause if he's Peter's ancestor it doesn't make sense because then neither Stewie nor Bertram would exist. But if he's Lois's ancestor then it still doesn't make sense because they seem to have implied that the essence of the character comes from the sperm. So killing Lois would accomplish nothing because Stewie could still be born from another mother.

However, ABrown still has a point. In the end, the whole "Bertram preventing Stewie's birth, but not his own" idea is filled with a lot of plot holes thanks in part to their essence being based in the sperm.
