A new episode airs tonight at 9 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

Also, they should make more episodes focusing on Meg, Lois and Chris. This show has pretty much been "The Peter, Brian and Stewie show".

When I read that summary, I immediately remembered that gag they did where Peter was getting attacked by a bear during a hunting trip. Then, his life was flashing before his eyes and he kept getting held back in fourth grade until the day of the hunting trip.

So yeah, I'm not expecting much out of this episode.

Now that was an excellent episode! Many of the scenes with Peter in third grade were hilarious. It broke the continuity but this is Family Guy we're talking about so who cares. The B Plot was kinda meh to me until the very end. I was waiting for that musical number. Brian and Frank have lovely singing voices! The end to the episode was clever too although they should've changed it to 14 days for the next new episode but it was still funny. A great episode and miles better than last week's.

Why didn't Cleveland say "What the hell?!" when his house was destroyed this time? That's part of what makes that repeated gag funny, so it sucked not to have it this time.

Liked the "last man clapping" gag, the nice callback to Peter blowing up the children's hospital, John Madden's wedding video, the last name Tom Tucker gives the smart Indian kid, and "could you use it in a libelous sentence?". And while the Lincoln gag could've been better refined, I liked how Booth decided to assassinate Lincoln because he was being a rude theater-goer.

Prince on Wheel of Fortune, Jurassic Park reenactment, Smuple, Michael Jackson's crotch, the robot worker going nuts, and the club subplot in general fell flat for me. That said, speaking of the club, it was nice to see Frank Sinatra Jr. return.
The Family Guy commercials have never been very good, even pre-revival.

LOL That's true Meg/Lois/Chris have kind of just disappeared :p
But Peter/Stewie/Brain have the biggest fan base of the series.

I enjoyed the episode, while Peter is a jerk he still says/does some very funny things. I of course loved the Stewie/Brain subplot, good episode yah.

People really try hard for reasons to dislike new episodes, don't they?

A one sentence plot description makes you think of an episode that aired years ago and from that you've decided your not expecting much from the episode?

Heh, then again I guess this is what I do every week with the Simpsons. :p

I remember an episode of Beavis & Butthead where the guys were held back all the way to Kindergarten, and the teacher hated them so much that she had the prinicpal cheat to send them back to high school.

If the writers can somehow make this anywhere near as funny as that episode, I'll give the show a break on it's next bad episode.

It hasn't started yet, but boo to Fox for thinking the old "Hertz Donut" prank was an original, stand-alone joke from the writers that would sell the episode. Did they ever go to school?

I guess not. Nine years ago they promoted one of the first Futurama episodes with a "Uranus" crack, which was taken out of context when they didn't follow it with Farnsworth explaining the planet had finally been renamed.

I want to see a Lois episode the most, seeing as how we haven't seen once since Model Misbehavior? or Breaking out is hard to do? We just had Barely Legal and Peter's Daughter, which is as close to a Meg episode as you're gonna get on "The Peter, Brain, and Stewie" show, and a Chris episode doesn't sound interesting at all, his character is sub-plot only territory.

I didn't see this ep, i'll catch the Adult Swim replay

EDIT - It Takes A Village Idiot was the last Lois eppy, and I enjoyed that one

The Executive Bathroom.

Yes, guys. We know you can afford CGI.

OK, we got Brian singing. I can let most of what's going to happen in this episode go.

I think the problem is that Chris and Meg have never really broken the fourth wall on the show. Peter, Brian, and Stewie do meta references all the time and are pretty much the three main characters at this point.
