Will Family Guy make the switch to HD?

Seth has been a really hard sell on HD....but we've all been pushing him... I'm pretty sure that our next production season (8ACX) will be 16:9. However - this production season (7ACX) IS in fact HD, but still 4:3.

We're doing 22 eps per season, but our production vs. air has been bogged down since Season 4, when we did 35 episodes, and then Seth's contract negotiations, and then the writers strike....all those things really backed up our system, and that's why they haven't been getting to the air as fast.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

Does this mean that there THIRTY ONE-

-THIRTY ONE-

- episodes finished/almost finished?

WHAT THE HELL, FOX/MCFARLANE? The writer's strike was last year, and Seth's contract negotiations were settled some time ago I believe. There's literally zero excuse for holding back episodes.

Wikipedia has descriptions of the scheduled episodes. This is going to be a pretty irate post, but nothing I read made me very happy for the rest of this season. The Susie episode may have been a fluke.

6ACX12 - Family Gay (airing march 8)
You know what Family Guy doesn't have enough of? Gay jokes.

6ACX13 - The Juice Is Loose (airing march 15)
Talk about unfortunate timing. Just as OJ finally goes to jail for real, an episode airs about OJ moving into Quahog. I wonder if they'll have to quickly animate something explaining this.

6ACX14 - FOX-y Lady (airing march 22)
You know what Family Guy doesn't have enough of? Episodes attacking beliefs Seth doesn't agree with. This is supposed to make fun of Fox News, but if the track record holds, it's just gonna make fun of anyone who isn't far-left. Fair and balanced indeed.

6ACX17 - Not All Dogs Go To Heaven (airing march 29)
Meg becomes a born-again Chri-----you know what, I'm gonna skip this one altogether. I don't have to take your crap, Seth. I'll believe life has a purpose if I WANT to.

Looking forward to the Sliders parody and there's a couple interesting titles. I love the way they titled the Jedi spoof. But American Dad's sound more interesting, especially this subplot in a future episode:

Hell yes! :D...

Oh darn I was hoping for a new Road to Road but still sliders should be fun. Flashbacks of all the previous Road to Roads right? Awesome :D
LOL That Meg episode maybe Megs finale straw and she snaps and trys to kill her whole family? :D
I am guessing the Brain and Stewie one is where they get trapped in the closet together LOL.

Wow, a few of these episode descriptions definitely sound iffy. Hopefully they're have a few B plots or interesting cutaways to keep things from getting too painful.

Personally I'm looking forward to "Episode 420".

^ This.

...But methinks that this will be a good thing. Perhaps another long season like season 4 will be underway. I think King of the Hill has a season's worth backlogged as well, so it's not like this is out of the ordinary.
