Family Guy - "Quagmire's Dad" - Talkback [5/9]

Actually Jeff, you're absolutely right. I get the impression that were supposed to feel bad for Brian here and the final line of the episode is supposed to vindicate him. Quagmire definitely went too far.
 
:p Fridge Logic! If Glen is 65, then shouldn't his dad be a decorated war hero in WW1 or WW2? :p

This episode was something else, and damn, after last week's episode, I'm feeling real sorry for Brian now, lol.
 
Like many others said, the second half was better than the first. Who knew an episode actually improves by getting Brian involved?

Vomiting scenes normally gross me out, but the one here was so absurdly long that it made sense in context and was funny. Quagmire beating down Brian was absurd, but Brian's last line made that scene a great conclusion.
 
I'm done........ Quagmire is nothing more than a total ******....... Brian DIDN'T KNOW about Ida bein' his father...... and his beating just made him look like a psycho.

Family Guy needs to retire Quagmire or have Brian get some payback because enough is enough.....

This is just my own opinion, but I damn stand by it!
 
I didn't think the beating was out of place, because it's already been established that Quagmire despises Brian as it is, this was just the end all, be all of what he could do to REALLY make him hate him. And in Jerome is the New Black, Quagmire explains to Brian why he hates him.
 
Jeff, I couldn't agree more...

Quagmire's just gone from being a wacky old pervert to being a psycho. It's cute when it's Stewie who does the beating...... but with Quagmire, it's just wrong....
 
A little better but not great. It was certainly better than last weeks garbage.:shrug:

Is it me or is Family Guy using less cut-aways now?
 
Ok I do agree with this, he didn't deserve it.
Plus I was feeling bad for him cuz he already feeling horrible for sleeping with a man. I do hope in another episode that Brian gets his revenge :(
I know I said this before, I really liked that Stewie/Brian scene where Stewie was will to litsen to Brian about his problems.
And I do agree, Lois seemed like a jerk in this episode. I'd expect this from Peter, cuz its his character. Seems like Peter is rubbing off on Lois.
Two Meg bashing jokes in the episode, thought they backed off on those.
1. Was Lois saying your different so know what its like.
2. Brian telling Meg not now LOL.
I did feel bad for Brian this episode.
 
The episode was pretty nice, I only got a few laughs from the beginning, but the 2nd half is where the fun truly began, especially with Brain long puke and the beat down from Quagmire, even if it was unwarranted.
 
Yeah, the barfing kinda went in a loop for me. It went from gross to funny, then gross again and looped back around to being funny. He nearly filled up the room!
 
Awesome/hilarious episode, poor, poor Brian,

The highlights:
Cool that it continues the Glenn's hatred of Brian story, hehehe.
Lois was an insensitive jerk in this episode becoming like Peter, hahahaha.
Lois chasing Brian with a can was funny.
Mayor Adam West's second "Watch" joke, hehehe.
I still love the Aquaman jokes, keep them coming.
Glenn's father Dan is a great father character & his dance song was pretty catchy/awesome/funny, hehehe.
Peter & Joe texting messages was hilarious, hahahaha.
I love the torch juggling, grass skirted alien, hehehe, they make alot of cool random joke characters so far.
The crippling debt joke, hehehe.
Dan's Navy war friends' comments were so hilarious, hahahahaha:p:D.
Uh-oh, Dan is getting a sex change like Bender/Herbert Garrison, poor Glenn.
Dan becoming Ida looks like one attractive beautiful woman, wooooow.
Peter's "I'm walking on sunshine" line was funny.
Lois wanting Meg to throw away Ida's food was funny.
Poor Brian falls in love with Glenn's sex changed father, such a funny messed-up moment, hahahahaha:ack::p.
Peter/Lois's burst-out laughter towards Brian was so hilarious which I laughed with them, hahahahahaha.
Brian bashing Meg was priceless.
Brian's long puking scene after his freak-out reaction was gross/funny.
Brian/Stewie freaking out was so funny, hahahaha.
Nice of Glenn to make up with his sex changed father.
Glenn beating the crap out of poor Brian like what Stewie did was so hilarious, hahahahaha:p:D, but I so feel sorry for Brian.
Glenn had it coming from Brian's last line which Brian didn't know that the woman he slept with was Glenn's father Dan/Ida which I agree with Jeff Harris.
 
I... thought this episode was pretty good. Outside of the cutaways the plot and its progression seemed for the majority part sound. Yeah Quagmire's beat down with Brian seemed over the top, but given the baggage between them it's kindof fitting. There may be many people in the world that will sleep with his 'dad', but with a person you despise is a different story.

I'm glad though that Brian had the last laugh.
 
Ha. I really liked this episode.
I was reading the comments on hulu and it's amazing how uptight people are. I also laugh at those who are saying this is the most offensive episode.

This episode gave me what I expected (another Brain and Quagmire confrontation) and I am not disappointed at all.
 
Naw, you're not. Although I thought the beat-down was hilarious if only for how over the top it was, that last line made me clap.
