Family Guy - "Peter-assment" - Talkback [3/21]

Not at all. Play-by-play was extremely common during Toonami's weekend runs with the more popular shows like One Piece and Naruto, yet those threads were always filled with activity and in the end, people were still tuning in because the show had their interest.

I honestly do agree that those who have become tired of the show no longer wish to watch it only to be disappointed or they just plain don't care anymore.

But let's be honest. If you turn your back to the TV and start typing something on the computer then you're not really paying attention to what you're watching. It's one thing to do it during a commerical break and another while the show is actually playing.

But it says a lot when the show can't hold your attention. When a show is good, and I mean REALLY good, you're not gonna look away. You're hooked.

If you're watching a movie and it's really good how often are you gonna whisper something to the person sitting next to you? Rarely, I'd imagine. During Up's opening montage did you whisper, "that's beautiful" every 5-10 seconds? No. You were hooked. You waited till it was over to say something. And before that you wiped the tears off your eyes. ;)

I'd say it means you're enjoying it so much you want to let everyone know what a good time you're having. Your logic makes no sense. Think about how much I enjoy Family Guy. This show obviously holds my attention. And yet I'm one of the infamous east coast posters who sometimes responds once an act. I'm definitely capable of staying focused on the show and post about it at the same time.

Oh please. Lots of people comment on things they're enjoying as they're enjoying them. You're trying too hard, as always.

That's not it at all. Road to the Multiverse was popular, and that by far has had the most talkback pages this season. It's not really the quality of the episodes, it's what stands out the most to viewers minds. Road to the Multiverse had the Disney song sequence, a Robot Chicken parody, and Brian as a human.

This episode had a glory hole and a dolphin licking Peter. The episode was good, but disturbing imagery like that doesn't exactly make people eager to recall it immediately.
