Family Guy Movie?

I really liked this interview.

To be honest, I've always like the idea of a Family Guy movie. I'm sure I'd enjoy it more than The Simpsons Movie which was pretty average if you ask me.

Thank you for posting this.

I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be all musical, but we probably will see a musical event or two in there.

I am looking forward to this. The Simpsons Movie was amazing despite being years past it's prime, so maybe the Family Guy movie will breathe some life into it's show.

As long as Seth does put his musical talent into this movie, I too I'm quite looking forward to it. I'll confess, I really didn't care for Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, and I think the main reason was there were no good musical numbers in it, despite the many opportunities for one to show up.

As far as a Family Guy theatrical movie being as good or better than The Simpsons Movie, that may be a little hard for me to admit to, what with me being more of a Simpsons fan(bias is calling!).

A Family Guy movie, if done right, would be awesome. But they'd have to make it worthy of being a feature film as opposed to just looking like a multi-part episode.

I enjoyed the Simpsons movie, but outside of two brief things,
Bart's full frontal and Marge using the G-D line
, The Simpsons didn't really do anything that they couldn't do on the series.

I'd imagine a Family Guy musical film would be a lot like the South Park movie, only hopefully a little less vulgar. I just hope Fox and Seth don't come to blows over the movie's rating. I have a feeling Fox will want a PG-13 while Seth will want a no holds barred R rating.

Then Fox would be throwing out millions in potential revenue. This will be a hard PG-13, but a PG-13 nontheless. The only difference from the series will be that some of the profanity won't be bleeped (only the F-Bombs).

Actually FG could pull off an R rating. It's a popular franchise, so there are definitely enough adult fans who'd want to see it. Hey the SP movie did well with its fans, FG is pretty popular now... I wouldn't doubt it.

It's going to be hard for MacFarlane to make this R.

Trey Parker & Matt Stone said when they told Paramount they wanted to make South Park R rated, the studio sat them down in a room and had accountants explain to Stone & Parker how much money they will be losing if they don't make it PG-13. Apparently it didn't phase them :p

I have hopes for a Family Guy movie, I doubt they could top the musical numbers in South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut though.

I think my brother would love to see a family guy movie happen, I would only see this if it has good writing and at least be a musical. I just hope its R rated...A family guy movie cant be a movie without being R but then again if it is a musical....If there's no R theres only one f bombing.

And Seth said he would also show nudity. So if it's PG-13 he would most likely be unable to do that. He would only go certain limits like on TV.

Considering how this was announced a year ago, this is pretty old news.
Still, I'd like to see how a Family Guy movie would compare to the Simpsons movie.

Why would they make a PG-13 movie for a TV-14 show? The whole point of doing a movie is to get away with more things than on air... I think it will be R.

I'd imagine a FG movie would be an homage to 80's movies of every kind, from the John Hughes brat pack movies to the Bruce Willis/Arnold Schwarzenegger/ Eddie Murphy style action movies to everything inbetween.
