Family Guy movie?

Well, the Simpsons movie is out and with rumors of a Family Guy movie, what about movie versions of prime time cartoons:
* King of the Hill
* Futurama
* American Dad
* Tripping the Rift
* Robot Chicken
* The Boondocks
* Shin-Chan

Robot Chicken?......No. Fifteen minutes is one thing, but again, I don't think anyone wants to see random cutaway gags for an hour and a half. And I personally wouldn't pay to see any movie based on American Dad, the Boondocks or Shin-Chan. At all.

The Simpsons movie was an achievement and all, but that doesn't mean that every TV show should have a movie, Like Silver already said.

I thought there might have been, as I remember reading that in the Anime Encyclopedia. But still, I'm not big enough a fan of Shin-Chan the show to pay to see a movie about it.

i'd probably watch it if the plot involves something weird like guagmire trying to help cleveland find a new woman, but interferes with stewie's device to get back at brian, which ends up killing meg, which makes peter, in need of a daughter, want to give chris a sex change, but come to find out that the doctor is actually the giant chicken, who happened to be lois' ex-boyfriend, which in result leads to a nonstop 40 minute battle between peter and the giant chicken until the credits roll.

that and the cutaways were at a minimum, and are downright hilarious and beautiful to look at. but honestly what can family guy do on the silver screen what they couldn't do on tv or direct-to-video?

I don't know. But after some thought, regardless of what people think, so long as the movie makes me laugh, I don't care what they do for a plot or how many cutscenes they do.

Besides, if I learned anything, is that Family Guy is capable of having fun action scenes, and heartfelt moments. And when you take out the cutscenes, you still have characters that are all capable of hilarious one-liners.

So now I'm eager to see Family Guy on the big screen.

Peter longing for a new daughter seems very out of character for him. I wouldn't want to see a 40 minute giant chicken fight either. And what is Stewie getting back back at Brian for? It seems to me like you're just making this up as you go along.

That plot made very little sense, but it does seem somewhat indictive of what an FG movie might be like.

Too many Hollywood producers believe that every 30 minute TV show or 5 minute comedy sketch could work as a 90 minute feature, when in fact the successful TV to movie adaptations have been few and far between. For every Wayne's World, there are least 10 The Ladies' Mans, Superstars, Stuart Saves his Familys and A Night at the Roxburys. Family Guy barely works as a TV show, I still don't see FG working as a movie.

It would have to have a really good and well thought out story. Too many crossover ideas don't work for me because they have no real plot or story beyond the novelty of "Hey! It's so-and-so on the same story as such-and-such!" A perfect example of this would be the movie Rugrats Go Wild!, in which the Rugrats met the Wild Thornberrys. This idea reeked of coming from egomaniacs who thought thought that any idea they had must have been great.

if you didn't get all of that, then you haven't been watching family guy much, now have you? ;) and a 40 minute chicken fight is something i know they'd do. it's kinda like one big middle finger to the audience.

I would have a plot like Peter feels that the family drifting apart or something and decides to do something in an effort to bring them all closer, in musical comedy form. That's happened before on the show, but I can't really think of anything relevant they could do.
