Family Guy "Meet The Quagmires" Talkback

I forgot to mention this but 1984 Lois's black swimsuit with black high heels and her jumping off a diving board while Kenny Loggins music is playing is a reference to Caddyshack. Out of all the scenes from that film, I never expect them to do a parody of that.

It was a great episode, mostly for the Rickroll, but if Seth really wants political commentary on his show, could he at least TRY to make it creative?

I thought the episode when Brian forced Mayor West at gunpoint to make gay marriage legal was the most politically forced episode ever, but then comes Brian's dialogue in this episode which felt as if someone wrote a parody about Family Guy being liberal.

Seth could take a cue from The Simpsons 400th episode, while still being blatant, pulled off their satire more humorously then just "oh, everyone from the Bush administration is dead and Al Gore is god. This is paradise."

The joke was that just because Al Gore is president and everyone from the Bush Administration is dead this was a paradise, it's almost making fun of Liberals that think this would've solved all of America's problems.

That's how I took it as well. It was way too utopian, especially with the jetsns thing, to be taken at face value. Seth has paordied liberals before. He's made fun of clinton just as much as Bush.

Still, the dialogue felt really forced. It would've been a lot more hilarious had they gone with more visual gags based on this joke.
