Haha, yeah, I just thought of that the other day watching Family Guy's first episode.
I had a great time with this episode. It had a long-winded plot but at least it 'had' plot (all episodes do but there's a large belief on here that nothing ever happens on FG)... I don't understand why most of you aren't diggin' this. Most of the cutaways actually corresponded with the current setup (Monopoly Guy in jail, Chris bringing up his hamster, Stewie flashing forward to a hilarious future) and there wasn't any long jokes (something I love but a lot of intolerant viewers can't stand)... and the Will Smith joke was really funny if you ever have listened to any of his music. I like the use of Connie especially due to the fact that we haven't really seen her play to many 'big' roles in the past seasons, and Stewie's final blow on what seems to be a Meg-like role for Connie now seemed really funny.
The only complaint I would have was the ending and the oddly skipped portion of the courtroom action -- the ending segment of the awkward cow's fate could have been sacrificed for Peter and the Cow to spend 30 seconds in court getting their just desserts from McBurgertown.
Regardless, A for the episode.
