Family Guy - "Brian & Stewie" - Talkback [5/2]

I thought it was a great episode. Though it would be interesting to see how Peter and Lois reacted to Brian and Stewie being gone for so long, and not hearing from them.

I wonder if this will be split into two parts in syndication, or if the whole second half will be cut. It'll also be interesting to see what else gets cut in syndication (since the first half is six minutes longer... I'll guess the introduction).

Aside from the "deleted" musical numbers, I think they made a poor chose of musical clips. They should have included the "Take on Me" parody, and Stewie in the "Singing in the Rain" clip, and something from one of the "Road to..." episodes.

but I did like the "FCC Song" tease.

I agree, it was just supposed to be stupid same ol' Family Guy humor to throw people off who only watched the first 6 minutes. But after that, things got deep and it only really made sense if you've see the interaction between Stewie and Brian all these years.

See guys, they can do deep when they want to.

I almost turned this off because of doggie eating dukey. :ack: But it got better, and Stewie's confession to Brian at the end almost made this episode worthwhile. I guess I'm glad I stuck with it...

I have to wonder.

Fox: "You really can't cut anything out?"
FG Staff: "No way! Everything in here is absolutely essential! This is the deepest, most personal episode we've ever written!"
Fox: "You mean that? About everything?"
FG Staff: "That's what we just said! It's a beautiful, flawless masterwork!"
Fox: "Okay...........what about this bit where Brian literally eats Stewie's poop?"
FG Staff: *looks at Fox like they're crazy*
Fox: "What? It just doesn't look like it fits..."
FG Staff: "Youuuu maniacs, WE'VE CREATED A MASTERPIECE AND ONE REMOVED SEQUENCE WILL TEAR IT APART LIKE A TOWER OF JENGA BLOCKS!!"
Fox: "Whatever, we get more cash from Glee now."

For once, I agree with Mr. Gonzo. I really wish more episodes were like this. Why is it an anomaly for them to actually sit down and craft a good script instead of duct-taping pop culture together, if they've now proven they can do their jobs right? These guys are so immature, how could this have come out of them? Until tonight I might have thought I'd never see a scene like this. Ever.

Brian and Stewie showed layers I didn't even know they HAD. Just...wow.

As do I; that's my favorite early FG song. And Seth hits that last note beautifully.

Awesome/touching episode & cool that its to its 150th episode, definetly my favorite episode,

The highlights:
I always love Brian/Stewie episodes.
Brian/Stewie hosting this special episode while breaking the 4th wall was great.
Poor Brian/Stewie got locked in the bank vault, comedy begins, hehehe.
Psychotic Stewie with the gun was funny, hehehe.
Poor Brian/Stewie fighting each other was great.
Poor Brian eating Stewie's poop/puke & licking his butt was nasty/hilarious, hahahahaha:ack::D.
Stewie mentioning its Sunday to Brian's reaction was priceless.
Brian/Stewie getting drunk was hilarious, nice that Stewie is the first baby character to get drunk, hahahahaha.
Poor Stewie's ear bleeding while getting it pierced while drunk was funny.
The survelliance camera taping Brian/Stewie's crazy actions surprised me, ouch, poor Brian.
The flying bullet scene was awesome/funny & the survelliance camera is destroyed, Brian is saved!!!!
Stewie has energy bars this whole time, hahahahahaha.
Poor Brian using a gun to commit suicide due to his life falling apart was pretty sad, poor Brian:(.
Sweet how Brian & Stewie cared for each other which was touching/great.
Brian/Stewie finally free was such a fantastic sweet/touching moment at the end:anime:.
I'm surprised they didn't show Peter/Lois's reactions to Brian/Stewie for being gone for so long, woooow.
Both Peter & the fat guys' song, Peter's parody of Jerry Lewis, Got A Lot To See, the return of Shipoopi, YESS, & Drunken Irish Dad were my favorite awesome musical numbers, I love how Peter talks when the song goes, it's so amazing/brilliant, but no FCC song, rats.
Woooow, the early Family Guy's animation is so different compared to the new Family Guy's animation.
I'm shocked that there's not alot of cut-aways in this episode.

That episode is so like the All In The Family/Urusei Yatsura episodes when characters get locked in, but Ataru & Shutaro's funny/crazy moments together were just as great as Brian & Stewie's, hahahahaha.

What a weird episode. But wonderful. Brian's contemplating suicide and coping with his existence was all played so straight, it was a little unnerving, but also the only time this show has gotten an emotional response out of me.

Seth would make some excellent one-acts, I think.

LOLz I have to wonder how the recording session was like when the characters were fighting. I forgot to say, that little scene of Brian caring Stewie out of the Volt was too cute, Seth suprised me with that scene. Seriously, Stewie/Brian=Best relationship on the show. Some one please get me a screen cap of that :(

Was the Brian/Stewie locked in the bank vault episode mocking the Samuel Beckett play "Waiting for Godot"?

It was gross for Brian to lick the inside of Stewie's dirty diaper.

Too bad Brian stopped Stewie from introducing an unreleased Family Guy Michael Jackson song skit.

Wow! What a boring episode this was. Good grief. I really wanted to press the fast forward button on this episode. I managed till the end of the episode but the rest of the singing I just fast forward through that. This was a slow paced, every dull storyline here. I swear I thought Brain and Stewie were going to make out in this episode because it was reaching to that point.

WORST EPISODE EVER next to the Three Kings episode!!!
